Enough is enough (no more tears) - Donna and barbara
    Take me home - Cher
Does your mother know - ABBA

These three songs get me up dancing and make me feel good. Although they are my favourite songs by far

That's exactly what we're looking for in this thread.

What I'm hoping for is that the favorites of some orgers will lead other orgers to try out those songs and increase their sphere of positivity.

Good choices, especially it's "What A Wonderful World". I like the take Rowlf the Dog did on the Muppet Show.

I don't know if I have a top three, but three songs do come to mind:

"On The Wings Of Love" by Jeffrey Osbourne

"That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder (can't beat that harmonica), Elton John, and Gladys Knight

"You're The Inspiration" by Chicago/Peter Cetera

    Guns N Roses - Patience

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDtXalyMnnI

    Dewa 19 - Aku Milikmu

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHC_pKJKKg8

Retro Remix Revue - Earthbound: Title Theme/Fourside

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djujKQMoiHo

These 3 songs etched a permanent good times in my life.

the first 2 former are all about how the last time I will see my high school sweetheart and high school friends.

The latter reminded me the best of time with my mom and my old work, my work mood would just change to positive whenever the song plays.

Playing a three-hour Rush show is like running a marathon while solving equations.

Thanks. I've often told Kim I want that version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World played, along with The Marriage of Figaro Duettino -- Full 'Aria, which some will recall from The Shawshank Redemption -- played at my funeral. All I want are happy thoughts and smiles. No mourners; just celebrants. Hopefully, it'll still twenty-five or thirty years away.

I rarely drift beyond the vintage collector's page, but this one intrigues me.

    1. "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHEOF_rcND8. Sing this charming spoken word duet with your significant other while road tripping, and let the kids whistle, clap and sing the chorus.

    2. "Little Stereo" by Teddybears. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2Ci6LfxEOQ. Summertime boating on a lake in Minnesota.

    3. There is no obvious third choice, so I'm going with what's currently playing on my Apple Music, and that's the song Free Bird II, by Parquet Courts. Yes, this is a real song by a real band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHfOqqQ1DLQ.

I thought this would be easy but has actually been hard for me to pin down specific songs. This one at least I know would be in my top 3:

    Vince Guaraldi - Little Birdie

"To a great mind, nothing is little."

I listen to these when I want to feel better and lift my spirits:

    And a huge honorable mention:

"Everything comes to he who waits."

Hard to pick just three to be honest but these ones really stand out.

I was at that show. Somewhere in the crowd at 0:14.

Along with Waiting for a Hero, here's another on my favorite songs, this also from Streets of Fire. Although it's slam-bang from the start, she awesomely kicks into high gear at 2:20. How can anyone possibly listen to it from that point and not end up with goosebumps? Her back-up is amazing, and the music...Gawd, the music... Pretty much a perfect song:

As an aside, I'll add that these two songs are amazing to having blasting when I'm writing something that's action/adventure driven.

This is hard! There are quite a number of songs I enjoy. But I suppose here's my top three:

    1. Dare (Stan Bush)

    2. You Say (Lauren Daigle)

    3. My Way (Hins Cheung 張敬軒)

Honourable mentions, some of these don't "feel" like uplifting songs, but they work for me:

Your Name Is Power (Rend Collective)

    HOLO (Lee Hi)

I have quite an issue with songs, I pretty much never understand the lyrics, not only in English but in my natural language, so most songs that I like, are more of the sensation or memory that I have related to them.

Having said so, I have quite a vast taste in different music styles and most of them tend to be more depressing or striking, but here are some of them that lift my spirit:

    You Give me Something

    One More Time

The Real Folk Blues (this awesome version although I love all Cowboy Bebop's OST and everything from Yoko Kano)

    Honorable mention:
Bill Conti's Gonna Fly Now (a must song everytime I'm at the gym)
Great trade orgers: Son of Keldor - sdilks -JeMaBo2 x3 - Kowl - Bigassbuzz (Hyveofvillany) - Queen Marlena - mikescab - whitespyders(

    Interesting topic!

Usually, I find I listen to music that fits my mood which a lot of times
is more depressed or anxious. It's comforting to know we're not alone, and that
some writer somewhere "Gets us" or at the very least was on point when they wrote
their identifiable 3-9 minute storyline in song form.

But songs that are specifically going to make me feel a little cheerier? Well, I suspect
the three I find here are going to surprise some here. Maybe not. I don't know.

The first of these is by my favorite band of all time: The Mr. T Experience. Here, in Perhaps, Dr. Frank
has written something that I often go back to when I need to reframe my perspective. It isn't inherently cheerful,
rather it takes a more realistic approach. The character in the narration is tired of fighting. They're tired of fretting.
And they're coming to a clearer conclusion, that just because life didn't work out the way you thought it was supposed to
doesn't mean that everything is hopeless. Sometimes we need to remember that. A couple of lines that always stick with me
include "Sometimes even victims of injustice must admit, that something might have been their fault." and the rhyme
"The way I thought things would be, has vanished in the air. And most of it's impossible, and I don't really care. But reaching out
for somebody who is actually there? Perhaps. Perhaps."

The second of these is by Chris Huelsbeck. Chris has been a composer in video games for over 40 years and came out of the computer
scene of the 1980s. He's known for doing wonderful OSTs like the Turrican series. But he also did all of the music for The Great Giana Sisters.
The title track heard on the loader screen is bouncy, bright, and hopeful. Many years after the Commodore 64/128 and Amiga became but a distant memory
he did a few albums where he updated some of these songs on modern instruments. On Rainbows here he plays the Giana Sisters theme,
where it is as bright as ever. And to me, it falls under one of those "If you don't like this then you don't like fun." tracks. And it does legitimately bring me up
a little when I hear it.

And the third of these goes to Huey Lewis & The News. I don't have a ton of relationships under my belt, but there's always that exciting, blend of nervousness and joy when you do seem to click with someone,
and Now Here's You captures that feeling in its 4 minutes or so stretch. Their earliest stuff is some of their best.

    The Deviot

    Song Number 2:

"Wheresoever on earth he dwells, man is prey to two weaknesses: the need to pray and the need to love."-Marquis de Sade

"It is not by reasoning or by our understanding that we have received our religion; it is by external authority and command."-Michel De Montaigne

And appropriately, here is my song #3:

"Wheresoever on earth he dwells, man is prey to two weaknesses: the need to pray and the need to love."-Marquis de Sade

"It is not by reasoning or by our understanding that we have received our religion; it is by external authority and command."-Michel De Montaigne
