I guess the main issue with narrowing it down to only three songs is, ask me the same question tomorrow and you will probably get a different answer.

    Fun question...

    I reckon I'd go for:

    1. Jenny Lewis - Head Underwater. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2e6nVHfXa0. I don't know if I've interpreted the lyrics correctly, but I believe it's about overcoming depression. Certainly whenever I feel down, it helps!

    2. Belle & Sebastian - Play For Today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FCA55QhMWo. This one's on a similar theme - seems to be about people going about their everyday business while feeling terrible inside, and eventually getting through it.

    3. Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuNIsY6JdUw. I've just discovered Taylor Swift (late to the party, I know) and this is my favourite right now - can't resist singing along to it!

Cool choices, especially one that includes Taylor Swift.

Nothing comes to mind. I could sit on it for a couple days and NOT come up with something.

For me it's not a matter of making me happy or lifting my spirits. Or am I inspired.

does it get me amped up? am I head banging to it? Do I like the lyrics? Or is it the beat that catches my attention?

my exceptions are Sarah McLachlan's in the arms of an angel, R.E.M.'s Everybody hurts and to a lesser degree mad, mad world
, evanescence's my immortal and savage garden's truly madly deeply do.

Does the music flow through you? can you feel it?

And then there are songs that are metalized I find myself listening to.

and who doesn't like a good cover of one of their favorite songs.

remixes? meh. Longer and uncut versions of your favorite song? meh.

    short answer:I can't. Don't have any.

It's one of the benefits of talking to yourself.

Off the top of my head:

"Footloose" by Kenny Loggins (It never fails to put a smile on my face and get me moving.)
"I'll Be There for You" by The Rembrandts (No, HBO Max, I do not want to skip the intro.)
"Back in Black" by AC/DC (Each year when I return to my classroom from summer break, I blast this, first thing.0

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which is a pity because this week the National Association of Beholders wrote to tell me that I've got a face like a rucksack full of dented bells.
