Masters of the Universe Revelation Episode 5 Talkback Thread *SPOILERS*

Expect *SPOILERS* in this thread after this episode debuts on Netflix.

This thread will be unlocked closer to the air date.

Additional He-Man.Org Rules and Guidelines for This Thread - Please Read!

There has been a lot of discussion on where specific topics to be discussed land within this thread. This forum is intended to be all-ages and more light-hearted in spirit and is not to be dragged down into the typical debates about sex, politics, race and religion we see online often leading to anger and hurt feelings. Those topics can still be discussed, however they will be discussed in the Tar Swamp where there is a more open, adult platform for those topics.

    What can be discussed:
    • The specific reasons why we enjoy the show
    • Constructive reasons why we dislike the show
    • Reasons why we like/enjoy specific characters
    • Constructive reasons why we dislike characters
    • Relationships between characters (all inclusive and diversity - heterosexual, homosexual, pan, etc.) that are clearly defined in the cartoon

    Topics for the Tar Swamp:
    • Debates about sex, politics and religion
    • Debates about race (discussion on race swapping of characters is allowed, but must not be political in nature)
    • Debates about morality and any sexually related topic, or any politics associated with sexuality
    • Speculation about a character’s sexuality

Nice cliffhanger of an ending. I think all of the "dead" characters aren't so dead, but I guess we will have to wait for Part 2, whenever that comes along.

Mega spoiler: Don't click it. You have been warned.

Didn't take long to kill off the main character.

This is lame. The total opposite of cool.

Yeah, he's not dead, those are his kidneys, not his heart. Adam'll be fine, he'll just be tended to by Teela, and Evil-Lyn takes over for volume two

I kinda like that scene. Don't you think good riddance to that particular Adam in the multiverse? The strong DC comics Adam, he was funny with the girls on his side. Maybe they will recall a different Adam in the multiverse. This Adam is lazy, It's not that hard to do a few push ups .

Adam is probably not dead. But with the power sword in Skeletor´s hands He-Man won´t come back soon.
Notice how Ep 1 and Ep 5 comes in full circle. He-Man stabs Skeletor and Skeletor dies. Then Skeletor stabs Adam and He-Man dies. Skeletor comes back in Ep5, so I guess Adam is not dead but He-Man for sure without his sword of power.

I don't need He-Man coming back soon as long as Adam is around getting his character arc and interacting with the other characters. I didn't like him being killed in ep 1 because it wasted all the potential of him dealing with losing his powers and everyone knowing. The quest to get the sword back would have been better if Teela and Adam had to work together despite their now rocky relationship. Is there some MOTU comic with a plot like this?

This shows definitely bringing out the worst of both sides . If all the snarky man hating women and all the sexist women hating men would just take a week off , the rest of us could just enjoy the fact that motus back and were halfway through what's so far been a great show . Giving he man and skeletor a time out has allowed orko , evil Lynne , Tri klops and roboto to shine , eternias never looked so gorgeous , and if you really REALLY hate the fact it's the teela show , there's 130 episodes of filmation , a bucketload of guest spots in she ra , 65 episodes of NA and 39 episodes of 200x . Plus a movie. And a Christmas special , fill your boots

In a perfect world, each episode would be double-length, and you could then have enough time for parallel storylines about Teela's Quest AND what's going on with Adam in the afterlife, which could be fun to explore. Although their eventual "reunion" would probably have to be played a little differently.

That way you could keep Teela as the Active Protagonist in the first half but still have plenty of Adam around onscreen.

I wonder if perhaps that sort of thing would be enough to sate some people's complaints. Although they would probably still be upset that he's "Adam" in Heaven and not "He-Man", or that Adam's even dead to begin with. Pretty sure some people would still find something to be mad about regardless.

Ah well. The show's only 24 minutes long so we got what we got.

But yeah, if I'm in a mood where ALL I want to see is He-Man wrecking house, there's lots of hours of entertainment I can indulge in, so I'm not altogether heartbroken that he's not as much presence during this particular two hours and change. If I'm in the mood for a well-told MOTU arc that turns up the volume a little bit, in spite of not revolving entirely around He-Man being the one doing the heavy lifting, then that's what I've got this for.

I don't think orkos dead , but maybe the heroes don't question his absence in Preternia because he's not eternian ,maybe to them it's common knowledge ( or widely believed ) that only heroic eternians go to Preternia and , being a trollan , he'd go to trollan heaven ?

Well we didn't really see him die. He just sorta had a stalemate kinda thing with Scare Glow.

As for Preternia.. I know it's called heaven but I sort of suspect that it's a more symbolic statement. Because I assume that we'd have a lot more normal folks there.

Also, with that in mind, I am not sure that they even know what happens to the souls (if such a thing exists) of those who don't end up in Preternia, other than the fact that they're not there.

Another thing that I'm admittedly curious about is when Mossman mentions that others turn into forests- I understand why Adam went poof, given that he.. whatever happened with the split sword and magic going crazy. But what about the other people who are there? Did KG , Hero and the rest pull a Kenobi and vanish when they died?

Something that's been bugging me a lot ....Adam dies , goes to heaven , fair enough ... but Why does the physical , inanimate sword go with him instead of just kind of being on the ground next to him when he died ?I get that he split it but it was still just a sword . And bear in mind there were other he men there , THEY must have left the sword behind for the next guy to pick up ?

I'm pretty sure it was explained that the swords returned to their original locations after being split.
"I wouldn't be surprised if this movie has Adam as a skinny nerd from Earth battling another skinny nerd-hacker from Earth that used an alias of Keldor. They then enter Tron-style to a cyber world called Eternia, where they control muscle-bound avatars to battle (called He-Man and Skeletor). And these same avatars come to life and continue to battle in present-day Earth." - VZX
