But, I didn't know about King!!

I pre-ordered both Gilius Thunderhead and Tyris Flare last week... and I was hoping that BBTS would have gotten Demitri and Death Adder in stock by now.

I really love this line... I could probably do without another version of Sub-Zero and Reptile, but the Morrigan is looking cool.

I probably spend way too much money on these figures, but where else are you going to see Fuuma, Terry Bogard, Jin Kazama, Axel Stone, Cammy, Kung Lao and Ax Battler all in one scale?

I don't have any Storm figures but they always looked nice. I think I might get the Sol and Morrigan but they I know they will be a bit pricey.

I preordered Kintaro. I've been collecting the Mortal Kombat line and have most figures released (I did not get things like the bloody variants, etc.). The only non-MK Storm Collectible figure that I have is an Akuma.

I have some of these. I missed out on a lot of the core MK and SF characters early on so it wasn't worth the effort to get a big collection going. I just kinda pick up the ones that look good with my other figures. Mostly the larger figures like Goro, Shao Khan, Motaro, and the DC Ares.

I tried to get the entire Golden Axe line but a few of the variants eluded me. I'm still just getting all the main characters so I can have a nice little display. I love Ax Battler. I plan on doing the same thing with Darkstalkers. Just pick up the standard releases. I always love d those character designs.

I kinda find it ironic that many people don't complain about the price on these yet S7 for some reason gets put through the ringer when it comes to their Ultimates line MSRP. Storm Collectibles is IMO charging way too much for these. The quality is good and you get a ton of accessories but they're just a bit overpriced. Ares, for example is awesome but at over $100 that's crazy. I was lucky and got one for only $80.

I don't know how deep they're going to go with Darkstalkers/Vampire, but Demitri looks like a definite winner!

If you need the GA Purple Skeleton warriors NYCC exclusive set, it's still available at BBTS... unfortunately, the brushed silver BBICN Exclusives are sold out now.

I honestly don't even know why I bought the BBICN skeletons... that was a hard purchase to justify.

But, I am stoked for the rest of the Golden Axe team... Death Adder should be showing up soon - I hope!

In the future, I would like to see:

-More World Heroes (Mudman, Janne, and Captain Kidd - to be exact)
-More King of Fighters (Art of fighting team, Ikari team, Andy bogard & Joe Higashi)
-More Samurai Shodown (specifically, Ukyo, Tam Tam, Genan, & Galford)
-The rest of the Streets of Rage 4 main cast
-Damon Baird (GoW)
-Liu Kang (a sample was shown over 5 years ago... but, nothin' yet)

I don't have any Storm figures but I have always been impressed with how they look. I almost bought their Chun Li but ended up not pulling the trigger. I do love Darkstalkers so I will certainly be keeping an eye on their Morrigan.

The quality of the Super 7 figures I’ve had doesn’t match the price I paid for them, this was their motu stuff not any ultimates but it’s been enough to stop me from buying any more of their figures, yes the storm stuff is overpriced but I’m picking and choosing and so far I haven’t had any issues with them.

I'm definitely not thrilled with the pricing on these, and they do seem rather over priced for what they are.

That price range is also why I've mainly stuck to the Mortal Kombat line and (aside from a single Akuma figure) have not bought any other products from them.

That said, I think the reason why people are more critical of Super7's pricing is that we know what MOTUC cost from Mattel (which yes, the prices went up over the years), then S7 started making them, and also started making other IPs in "Ultimates" for which is essentially the same size and scale as MOTUC. And the prices continued to go up in a relatively short time.

I'm not saying that there is no legit reason at all for some of those increases, but now with the price of their standard Ultimates figures getting uncomfortably close to $60 (especially when tax and shipping are factored in on top of the $55 base price), it is a lot to pay. This is further exacerbated by the fact that typically their lines come in waves of 4 figures, and they are releases figures from several IPs that have a lot of common interest.

While Storm's prices are high, for any one given line (MK for example), they release 1 figure here and there. Granted, given that they are doing a lot of video game (especially fighting game) based figures, there's also a lot of cross-interest there. But still, them mainly releasing a figure or two here and there for any given line kind of helps make the price a little easier to swallow.

I'm glad this thread got started! A while back I was actually looking for some input on the Golden Axe figures in another thread. I've since decided to jump in hard.

Where do you guys order yours from? I had wanted to just go with BBTS (I actually preordered Gilius there, but will likely end up cancelling it), but I found other places that were significantly cheaper. I preordered Death Adder from another site since he should be releasing soon anyway. I figured if that experience went well, I'd go ahead and order Tyris and Gilius from them as well.

For Ax Battler, I rolled the dice on a Hong Kong seller on ebay that had stellar reviews and seemed to almost if not entirely sell storm collectibles. I even found reddit threads from the past where people were talking about him, specifically, being a quality seller. Even though he was the cheapest price that had sold in a while, the $$ still wasn't pretty. We'll see how all that turns out relatively soon...

Did any of you get Death Bringer or the black/ash looking skeletons off of Bluefin's site last week? I considered getting Death Bringer, but figured having Death Adder was good enough. When I saw they were releasing Death Adder Jr, too, it only reinforced my decision. I did get the black skeletons though, as I hadn't gotten any of the skeletons yet. I'm trying to decide if I should also pick up the NYCC ones from BBTS as well. Has anyone ordered the gold skeletons?

I also had not seen the Dead Frames until Reviews2D posted the picks. I kind of wonder what direction they'll be going next: more enemies, heroes from 3 or Revenge of Death Adder, Dark Guld, Damned Hellstrike....it'll be interesting to see.

I agree that they're more expensive than they should be. I figure them being based in Hong Kong probably has something to do with it in some form or fashion.

The cost and my unfamiliarity with Storm Collectibles at the time are the only reasons I didn't get Ax Battler initially. I obviously came to regret that decision though. Once it became apparent that Death Adder, Gilius, and Tyris all looked just as amazing as Ax Battler, I figured it would be worth it to splurge for a fairly limited cast that would be an amazing group of figures. Personally, the cost would definitely prevent me from collecting multiple sublines/Ips/whatever you want to call it or even just one that would have a huge roster of folks.

Like I said earlier, I've got Death Adder preordered on kappa hobby, so I'll let you know if that goes well. The only problem with them is you have to pay up front.

From what I gathered about eknightmedia, you don't have to pay up front, but you can't just easily cancel a preorder like on BBTS either. It sounds like you really need to preorder before their quasi-cutoff date if you order with them too. If you preorder after said date, it's possible you may not get it.

I'm a big fan of Storm Collectibles, but honestly, I think their figures are too expensive, and when they Sold Out, it even triggers its value 3 or 4 4 times.
I have a couple of SFV figures and they are ok, I like that they have pretty much the same scale and volume as MOTUC, but newer figures raised up their prices considerably. I wanted to get their E Honda & Sagat, but quality on those figures (usually hands and feet get loose) does not justify an almost $100 spend.

I'm tempted to get Golden Axe and Dark Stalkers figures, but I already have to pass on KOF 98 because of pricing reasons. Specially whenever there are many other lines not so expensive with higher quality and a more attractive price tag

I mainly use BBTS but you can sometimes get a good deal on Ebay also. I'm not getting into all the variants. IMO they're just a waste of money and these figures are expensive already. I don't like dealing with Bluefin anyways. They screwed me on an order years ago and I refused to buy anything from them again.

I have the standard GA skeletons and they are nice but still overpriced. They are no where near the money they costed. I'd actually like to pick up more of them to give my display some variety but not at these prices.

I have ordered from both eKnight and Kappa in the past... Kappa was where I was getting all of the Bishoujo statues I missed, and eKnight actually has an Amazon storefront as well.

I didn't realize that they were $10 - $15 cheaper than BBTS... but, I think that they charge actual shipping instead of the $4 flat rate.

I forgot to mention, but I got my ebay Ax Battler last week. I haven't opened him up yet, but everything seems to be in good order from what I can tell. My black skellies are also in transit. Anyone have any idea when Death Adder is supposed to start showing up?

Ax Battler is one of my favorite figures!

Yeah... I think it's funny that Junior costs more than the original, yet is the exact same figure with the exact same accessories.

I am actually partial to the Death Bringer color scheme... I may pick him up...
