Dead Frame looks good, but with all the other lines I've got going on, I'm afraid he's not going to make the cut.

Five variations of the E.Honda figure seems overkill for this line. I realize that many of these are exclusives to different cons or shops, but I don't remember other Street Fighter figures getting that many releases on the same sculpt. It seems to communicate to fans, "we're giving you every chance to buy E.Honda now so don't come to us complaining when they're all sold out and we don't re-release him." I suppose Death Adder is the same strategy, but it makes more sense with all the different boss stages from the game instead of basing it on the secondary player colors.

I was surprised that they are re-releasing Zangief as an USF2 sculpt so soon after his SFV release. I'm hoping they circle back to Chun-Li, M.Bison, Akuma, and Cammy with the same treatment, but not at the expense of a new figure to the line like Balrog or Blanka or Vega.

Storm Collectibles is a company that makes quality figures IMO (though the recent price hikes sting a bit and begs the question), but their release timetables are baffling to me and it makes it hard to complete the line without knowing what I have to budget in competition with other toy companies and life responsibilities. It's the reason why I slept on the USF2 Ken, Ryu, and Guile. Now I'm scrambling to find 50-75% over og retail price for these figures before they skyrocket. If their new strategy is to flood the market with all these different color variations, the more the merrier then for myself and fellow collectors who have to look to that secondary market sometimes to complete their collection and hopefully at a reasonable price. I remember when the blue trunks SFV Zangief was going for $50-80 and then started going for $150-200 and I thought I would just have to miss out and then Storm delivers this summer with welcome news.

Ooof totally agreed on the sticker shock to these figures lately. There was a substandard Death Adder that popped up on BBTS this past Friday for $119 and I almost got him but then I saw the price

Yeah, I love the skeleton warriors two-pack... they actually scale better with MOTUC than they do with the Storm figures!

I picked the pink ones for three reasons:
1/ Skull reminders put upon the shields just puts me off !
2/ In my mind, skeletons should always be associated to scythes and nothing else (lol).
3/ Their colours match perfectly with Snake Mountain; as if they were made of its own stones.

They are great figures but IMO they're still overpriced considering Storm's other MSRPs.


That seamless body on Death Adder really has me worried. I've had nothing but problems with seamless bodies in the past. I wish they had just done a regular body on him.

I got my Death Adder the other day! Haven't opened him up yet because of space issues. One day...

He's my first seamless body figure, so we'll see how that goes...

I got my Death Adder today... man, this dude is HUGE!! He is basically a 1:6 scale figure... and his axe is GIGANTIC!!

What's more, his helmet is actually removable... and he comes with a second head! (I wasn't impressed with the promotional images of his face, but it works way better than I thought it would.)

That seamless body on Death Adder really has me worried. I've had nothing but problems with seamless bodies in the past. I wish they had just done a regular body on him.

The good news is that most of the major joints are separated (the shoulders, neck, waist, hips, and ankles.)

The bad news is that his elbows and knees are on a ratchet joint inside of the seamless body, and these are the two areas that get flexed the most for posing.

I will say that he looks bad@zz right now! But, I'm with you on your worries for down the line, a few years from now.

I'm considering it, but pricing is outrageous. I may wait if eventually may end up with a discount being a BBTS exclusive, but I know it is a risk.

I kinda wish I would have just waited 6 months so I could have gotten this instead.

That said, I didn't pay tremendously more for an ebay Ax Battler and a set of black skellies than what this set cost...

Yeah... there's no telling when this kind of stuff happens.

I know that BBTS and Storm Collectibles have a good relationship... BBTS always has some sort of exclusive figure with them. (The Samurai Shodown Haohmaru is awesome!)

I preordered all of the Golden Axe figures I wanted (except for those golden skeletons! D'oh!), and this deluxe pack evens out to about what I payed for them separately.

I would imagine that Storm would offer Axe Battler, Tyris, and Gilius as standalone figures (without mounts) some time down the road.

I want some badguys to knock around other than skeletons dangit!!

I have Axe Battler, but I don't think I'm going to continue on with the Golden Axe figures aside from the Skeletons. They look amazaing, just too many other lines that I would rather collect.

Now the Mortal Kombat Figures, I'm sticking with to the end. Super pumped they've finally revealed a painted teaser of this dude. He's been overdue for way too long.
