I, too think that this is a Sun Man reference. A similar homage was made with He-Sol in the "Masters of the Multiverse" comic mini-series.

    EDIT:
Btw, unbelievable job, Jukka! I cannot wait for your video with this material! :-D

I have to rewatch the episodes, but my guess was on first impression that only the folks who actually wielded the Power Sword got this particular "reward" and inhabited this spirit realm of Preternia. Though I guess it would be strange to consider this a "reward" if you're separated from your other loved ones in Eternia's version of an afterlife. This concept could use more exploring in either the prequel comic or the remaining episodes. I don't want to call it a half-baked concept, but as is from what we've seen it is a little too vague.

It seems to be mostly power sword weilders , but moss man and a version of Kudok ungol are also there , perhaps it's more a " warriors death" type scenario though . I'd be annoyed if my son was less worthy of heaven than a bionatops though

That Bionatops died rescuing 26 children from a circus tent fire, smart guy.

He's in Subternia; he's the one who set the fire.

WHOOPS, that was an Episode 7 Spoiler. My bad.

For all we know, there could be tons more characters in Preternia, not just the ones shown on screen.

I absolutely believe this to be the case. I'd been interested in the explanation of Snake Tower being there

Wow, that's a DEEP cut. I'm impressed you picked that out. There's so much to enjoy here.

Fascinating coincidence, but ultimately reaching, I think. Considering Universal threatened James with legal action over his unofficial Filmation episode, I highly doubt that Mattel Television and Netflix would purposely reference it...

The prequel comic book that was released before the series has D’are and Ro as two separate sons of King Grayskull. I originally thought the two guys you guessed as Vokan and Sun Man from that shot from the Netflix series were the brothers D’are and Ro buuuuut that doesn’t hold up if you read it. *shrug*

Hey, isn't this Skeletor's "giant fist" a "Tappers of Eternia" reference?

I could'a sworn it was from Bayonetta.

Orko's stand against Scareglow was homage to Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, no?

"You're all wet" could be a call out to "you two are all wet", which He-Man says to Skeletor at the end of The Shadow of Skeletor from Filmation

Was anyone able to figure out what was being said during the chanting part of the score in Subternia? I'll admit it sounds a lot like the Balrog theme from Lord of the Rings. I would bet that there are some MotU Easter Eggs in those chants!

I think so, yes. I also think Orko will return as Oracle, a bit like Gandalf the White.
