Has anyone been on Facebook and see the post and artwork and announcement from from Axel Giménez? Looks like we're getting Sun-Man figures from Mattel and part of MOTU Origins

Will probably end up getting Sun Man and the main villain, if he gets released, for the collaboration novalty and to help support the line, but as a MOTU only collector, that will be as far as it goes.

I hope these aren't included in the Origins waves. Making them available online for those who want it is cool, but the second this property starts interfering with the release of the main line it becomes an issue.

I have no idea about the character & the line even existed in the 80's. In today's world with cost of living going higher & higher, and with shipping + import cost going up, sticking to the core characters is the wise thing to do. At least for me. Like I said, I am neither excited or frustrated about it's inclusion in the MOTU world.

And the reasoning behind the birth of this line was just icing on the cake.

I think it’s great we’re getting Sun-Man. I got him at a small store near me in NJ, because I liked the colors and overall look of the figure. They fit with MOTU figures perfectly too. Never found Pig Head though.

As a kid, I looked for Cyborg for an entire YEAR in every store that I went in to. I never found him. When we went out of town, I looked, when We went to the mall, grocery stores, etc. He was NOT plentiful.

Fair point on MOTU not have anything other that white dudes and the odd colored fantasy creature from time to time. Most toy lines that bothered with minorities managed to get them out in the second wave.

Also looking at the bigger picture MOTU was no stranger to diversity in the story telling. It would seem that only the toy makers did not thing in include other ethnicities.

They mentioned Pig Head and one other Sun-Man character. So it seems at least three, which is two more that PoP has gotten. So apparently anyone can come be a Master of the Universe just not the girls.

Unless I misheard somebody said "And the rest of the Rulers of the Sun..." so they are releasing all of them. I just can't believe they are inserting this line that has nothing to do with MotU. These are the definition of what a Mattel Creation release should be.

Can't wait to collect and incorporate the Sun-Man figures into MOTUO, just like the WWE wrestlers. I hope the deluxe packaged Sun-Man is easy to get on Monday, that packaging is absolutely gorgeous.

Personally I've absolutely no interest in the Sun-Man line just like I'm not interested in Fuerza-T or any other bootleg line crossing over with MOTU. Happy for any fans that do want these though.

I will be getting Sun Man for sure, maybe not the Mattel collections version unlessi can grab him after trying to get the Castle Grayskull set. I think its awesome they they are including him into the MOTU universe there is always room for more characters and I hope we got them all at some point. For the Masterverse figures....GIVE ME ALL OF THEM!! I love that Tri-klops is coming with accessories to change him to both versions and I hope Trap-jaw's robes can come off like Tri-klops and you can make him into the classic version. He does come with his belt and other accessories so I think you can change him. Love the King Grayskull, i hope eventually they do the 200X version too at some point.

Im sad that they didnt say that they were going to release the con exclusives at some point down the line but with them announcing ordering a second chance at the con exclusives im thinking they will announce it after the sale on monday.

Very excited for Sun-Man.

We're getting to a place where a lot of the unproduced vintage figures require a lot of new tooling and it seems like Mattel is being careful not to do much beyond new heads & armors right now.

Sun-Man's little bit of new tooling opens the door to more Rulers of the Sun. Mix with those key Princess of Power and New Adventures characters as well as the main character inevitable repaint and variants and hopefully this line stays healthy for years to come.

Very nice to see this! I'm also really interested in reading the mini comic they made for integrating the Sun Man mythos into the larger MOTU story. The few preview pages looked super cool!
