Maybe not the Remco Warlord line because of DC, but the Warrior Beasts for sure. Have them be new underlings for Skeletor. Have them be from the planet Remicus or something, arriving on Eternia via that old standard - a dimensional rift. Sun-Man is from Earth, just like Marlena if you go by the Adam Is He-Man mythos. Have him arrive on Eternia and maybe have Marlena recognize him as a hero from Earth (in fact, he could be the Superman stand-in since the likelihood of seeing the DC characters appear are slim to none). Bring in the Sungold-Sewco-Simba-SOMA figures as random nameless heroes and flunkies. The sky's the limit, here.
    This 100%.

Origins is supposed to be partly nostalgia to help us remember and share our childhood joys with these toys as kids with our kids.

And for a lot of us all the compatible lines were in the box and part of the adventures as well.

Agreed. As long as they release all of the originals then the more the merrier I say! I would definitely like to see some Galaxy Warriors/Fighters! Although releasing a figure with a name like Baltard might not sit too well with Matell LOL!

I keep looking at pictures online. Is the flat top head the same sculpt that was originally on Space Sumo? It looks the same, just recolored.

This, definitely. But yeah, some of the KO characters could use new names - the aforementioned Space Sumo included.

Any word on whether or not Hasbro is adding Go-Bots to their main line?

I kinda of dig Space Sumo.

I wouldn't name a modern character that. But it feels like the proper level of 80s cheese.

Ok Gang...FINAL WARNING. Enough with the personal attacks and racial comments. There is no need for that so please be kind to each other and stay on topic discussing the figure. Thank you!

Interesting. So there is precedent for this sort of thing.

I think it's a cool idea, but, like some others, I don't think they need to push He-Man aside to get Sun-Man over. The verbiage was a little heavy handed, IMO (in addition to the subliminal imagery used on Mattel Creations like He-Man standing off to the side in the dark while Sun-Man is in the bright sunlight on the other side, or Sun-Man at the top of the mountain and everyone else lower than him). Like, I get that it's new and everything, but you risk turning some people off when you do things like that.

Bug Bite and Road Ranger are both getting a release (Bugbite is out already). But note they are based on the e-Hobby exclusive versions that came out 15 years ago. Not based on the actual Honors toys but Transformers meant to be them that featured mostly abandoned decks from the original Mini-Cars.

Agreed, but is Pig Head as deep as the bad guy bench goes from the Sun-man 80's line? If so... that's kind of too bad. I'd love to see an entire rogues gallery of Pig Head minions, similar to Skeletor's bunch.

I'm super excited to get Sun-Man.

If I had to pick just one option, I'd pick finishing out the vintage MOTU line before expanding into other lines.

But I'll buy pretty much anything they release in this line. Bring it all on. I would even buy some of the Imperial Dragons (I think they were Imperial). I used to mount my MOTU figures on them as a kid. And that Trundaxx vehicle too.

I never had the rhino. But that trundaxx was cool. It was remote controlled via wire. It was a bit like a generic attack trak.

I remember the spines on those imperial beasts being very stiff. Stepping on them barefoot was awful.

Was going to pass on Stridor but because of the box art I’m going have to get him now. Who is it that lurks in the shadow? Sun-Man!!! This is awesome especially for fans of Sun-Man

It's ironic that the greatest ethnic diversity is among Skeletor's gallery of minions. I suppose in the spirit of what Sun man and Pig man were meant to represent, Pig man can simply slot right into Skeletor's band.

Although I can't imagine two major baddies staying tight for long! In my mind I picture a schism occurring where Pig man takes a handful of Skeletor's baddies with him because their bad guy philosophy better aligns. Then two groups battle each other for dominance of the Eternia 'underworld'. Then Pig man brings in baddies from other nearby planets, which would be a great time to bring in guys like Major Header and other fan created figures from the Classics line! Guys, this could be awesomely epic if Mattel were willing to put the marketing and tooling muscle behind it. Heck the bad guy fights alone could carry the franchise! OK, I'm off to dream up even more adventures.

Great catch! Cool on Mattel for that cool easter egg.

This is something I always noticed, even as a kid. Besides their generally cooler designs, this is a big reason why I tend to like the Evil Masters more overall.

I'll admit, as a kid I never saw them as being 'diverse races'... In fact I really dislike that idea. In my mind they were all unique monsters... possibly changed by magic into Beastman, Clawful, Webstor etc.

Never even occured to me that there was a whole race of Clawfuls... and he was dumbest loser of them all until 200x. Really diminished a lot of the coolness factor to me.

Ehhhh Skeletor's Baddies were always 'supposed' to be the biggest baddest badguys around. Each a 'master' in their way. All trying to rule the universe... with Skeletor 'somehow' keeping them all in line. Filmation dumbed a lot of them down, but in the toys, TrapJaw was a powerful and feared criminal before he came to eternia... Triklops was a bounty hunter who kicked the butt of Ram-man, Battle Cat, and Teela before He-man stopped him... Everyone who showed up was a SERIOUS threat... until they weren't.

Even in the cartoon, there was plenty of 'loyal minions' who would stab each other in the back and try to steal power if/when they could... so yeah, Pigman could easily fit in with that band.
