    Trailer #3:

I am pretty excited for this show... and I get more excited the closer it gets.

I will say this again, if you haven't read the Marvel NOW Matt Fraction Hawkeye series, do it now... you're missing out on something special.

    First two episodes are great!

I'm really enjoying this series... but, it's much different than I originally anticipated.

Let's just say that this series is "inspired" by the Matt Fraction comic arc, but molded to fit within the confines of the MCU.

Yeah. Very dif than expected. It’s not bad but different. Like you said, inspired by. I guess I expected closer to the fraction run too but I’m still liking it a lot bro.

I like the show very much so far. I hope they keep it up.

At first I thought the broadway version of Avengers looked too absurd...then I just saw their rendering of the Six Wives of Henry VIII on the Macy's Day Parade and, wow, Hawkeye nailed how they'd render that.

I dug the first two episodes and look forward to watching more.

I didn't think I read the Matt Fraction comic, but I have the first TPB. Either I put it on my shelf without reading it or I read it so long ago that I forgot everything that happened in it.

I do remember Young Avengers... the party scene with Kate was pretty similar to that one in the story. I hope some of them pop up in this show somehow/someway.

Haha, yeah, play/musical adaptions can be a bit campy. Remember Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark?

I thought episode one was fine but the second episode was terrible. What was the point of the whole Larping side-quest?

It was funny, added more complications (especially around the Ronin suit which will probably continue to be a problem within the series), and helping give character to the fire fighter dude (who I'm thinking will play a key role later in the story).

Humor is subjective. There's a lot of stuff out there many people consider humorous that I shake my head at, so it's all good.

I think most people suspected it ever since Echo's flashback. That was a very recognisable chuckle.

Not sure if itís my particular algorithm but there sure seems to be a lot of hate out there for Hawkeye.

ÖIíve really enjoyed it. While Iím the first to admit Iím probably overly sensitive to the overt gender swapping particularly from Disney of late, I donít find Kate Bishop to be a Mary Sue at allÖ.cough cough Ray PalpatineÖ.

TBH she doesnít seem be mentally tough enough be out on the streets trying to fight crime at all. Maybe thatís her whole character though? Iíll admit I know zero about her from the comics.

Renner is doing a good job of portraying a world weary guy carrying the injuries of a life time of abuse to his body who is completely over it and just wants out of the superhero life.

Itís surprised me as Iíve never rated Hawkeye but Iíve enjoyed this more than any of the other Disney+ shows.

Kate's overtly portrayed as a screw up who's in over her head and dosn't really grasp what Clint is trying to teach her. I don't know how anyone can consider her a Mary Sue lol.

TBH I didn't really find Rey to be that much of a Mary Sue, until they decided to add the Palpatine crap.

I went into this the least excited of all the MCU Disney+ shows, but dangit if it might not be my favorite. I didn't dislike any of the others, but I think Hawkeye has been the most fun. Maybe I just like Hailee Steinfeld too much, she even made me enjoy a Bayformers movie.

To be fair, Bumblebee had far superior writing compared to the other Bayformer films.

But yeah, Hailee Steinfeld is killing it in her career choices over the past few years or so.

Honestly, after the first Bayformers movie, I never watched any of the others until BumbleBee was released... and that was because of the major G1 influence throughout the film.

Seriously, Bumblebee is a fantastic movie that suffered from coming last in a long line of terrible previous efforts... people finally got turned off and didn't bother with it. Which is a shame, because it is so good - especially if you're an old TF fan.

Back to Hawkeye, this and What If...? are far and away my two favorite D+ shows.

Even though the story deviated a lot from Fraction's run in Hawkeye, it pulled it off really well while integrating all of the necessary MCU pieces.

And, yes, Hailee is an amazing Kate Bishop... and just an overall likeable actor.

Fingers crossed for another season!!! (Probably on the West Coast this time! )
