By the time we were done there were pirates, Superheroes, ninjas, knights, and dinosaurs in the mix... often with any combination of those elements. but for some reason 'cowboy' stands out as a bridge too far. Heck... Cyborg Cowboy doesn't belong... but the Robot Horses were just fine

Personally I always wanted him, but couldn't find him in stores... just a figure with THAT MUCH FIREPOWER was automatically a win for me. He looked amazing.

For me, he blends in perfectly.... EVERYTHING blends in with MOTU. that's part of the magic of the line. Everything imaginable fits in here. If I were to try to find someone who DOESN'T... it would be Ram Man. The scale is off, the articulation is off... everythign about that figure looks like it belonged in a different toy line.... but he was still awesome too.

Rio Blast was one of my original figures and always one of my favourites. I never had a problem with him fitting in. I suppose it was because of the mini-comic he came with.

The Classics version was great and terrible in so many ways. The sculpt was great, but the mechanics of the guns? Argh! The pegs on the chest and knee guns, the wrist guns pop out easily and the shoulder guns sit on these shoulder pads that lift it above his eyeline. At least it looks good when posed.

That's the great thing about the mini comics. The first one established a post-apocalyptic world and there's nothing to say the later mini comics don't. For that matter there's nothing saying the cartoon doesn't. Rio Blast could easily have gotten the inspiration for his look from a museum or dilapidated western wear store.
