Dungeons & Dragons Action Figures and Toys

NECA are making some 7" scale Advanced Dungeons & Dragons figures based on the LJN toy series.

    These look amazing.
I wonder if they will be able to make the characters from the cartoon....

Those are beautiful. They already have my money.

I just hope BBTS or EE puts them up soon.

Hey Mark! Just looked at BBTS and WOW I had NO idea these were coming! I was yelling at the top of my lungs and my wife though something terrible happened. So excited for these. I have a vintage LJN collection and will buy all of these!!! It is the last of my beloved childhood toy lines that I was waiting on a modern collector line for.

I do know what while some of the LJN toys did make into some episodes, that the kids, Venger, Shadow Demon, and Dungeon Master (all those created by the cartoon company [I think it was Sunbow?]) was a separate license. But yeah I would LOVE to grab all of the cartoon characters too. Though would be happy with just the old LJN line up.

    My incomplete LJN vintage collection.

    Awesome collection.
I didn't know about the toyline growing up. Never even seen very much of the cartoon either.
Seen the figures around 2002 and thought they wooled awesome.
When I got the DVD of the cartoon I thought it was amazing.
Several years back though I did track down several of the LJN figures, Strongheart, Warduke, Kelek, Northlord, Male Titan and Ogre King.

I was also amazed when I seen these. So happy NECA are actually making these. If they are as good as their TMNT and Defenders of the Earth figures I will be very impressed. This is one line I want all charatcers.

As expected, Warduke looks awesome but I am a bit bias since he was the only action I owned as a child from the LJN toyline (I also had the gold dragon deluxe beast but I consider that more than an action figure). I pre-ordered both figures from BBTS and I hope this line does well because I would really love a properly done Tiamat…

These look great. I probably won't get these on account of I am broke, but I hope the line continues. Hopefully you'll see Strongheart, Kelek and the characters from the TV show all.

I think the deal-breaker may be Venger. If he's only 6" he's going to look a tad puny beside Skeletor.
    Venger is 8.2 inches tall.

Pixel Dan had two Bobby's hands break out of the box and complained to a Hasbro rep.

I hope that Hasbro does something about this and that future runs of wave 1 have improved plastic/joints. That's why I'm holding off on these for now, plus I want to wait and see how the last 3 kids turn out as well.

Gave mine a hot soak before trying any joints. Hanks waist was looser from the get go.

I only really had a problem with the boot cuts. Will mess with them again soon to make sure they are still fine.

I do agree about the issues with the weapons, Diane's effect staff could have used more paint. Bobby's club could fit his hand better and not be so heavy for the figure.

I wonder if another product run will rectify some of the tight-joint issues?

I opened my 3 today and knowing that there have been issues I used a heat gun and got all the joints working fine. I had to use a little shock oil on a couple of their neck pegs so the heads would articulate without twisting the peg off though.

I love them and can't wait for the rest.

Habe a feeling s7 will make some in ultimates. Might pick up a few hasbro monsters and some neca figures. Don't think the knight will blend in with my motuc and ultimates collection, so I will skip any humans.

Gonna cheery pick neca and hasbro for figures that will scale well with motuc. And will get s7 ultimates when they drop I'm sure.

Saw the entire first series of D&D toon figures on discount at Target today...

This makes me sad because we will most likely not see anything new after wave 2.

However, it was nice to get another set for $7.49 each.

Wave 1 has had the undesired effect of not making me want wave 2 at full price.
