I would much rather see more 7 inch interpretations of the vintage characters... or, better yet, figures of the cartoon cast!
I'm wondering if Neca will make both 7"ers and smaller, retro/reproduction figures. Or, these could just be one-off exlusives.

Well they have done some retro Alient and Predator figures along wiht the 7" figures. It would be cool if they could reissue the original LJN figures along wiht the new 7" figures.

I hope they do these and many more in the 7" line.

I think it's really cool they are doing the vintage figures but I definitely do want more in the 7" line.
I would also love the cartoon characters.
It would be great if NECA could make the charactoon characters in both the 7" line and in a retro style for the vintage line.

The only reissue I would be very interested in would be Tiamat. I didnt even know it existed until I was an adult.

Also, I wonder if Neca is able to make versions of the LJN PVC figurines too. Some of those would look amazing in the updated Neca style. The skeleton soldiers would probably look like something out of Mythic Legions. And that Man-thing looking character could be a sneaky way for them to make an unofficial Marvel character lol.

That Skylla figure NECA is making was also a LJN PVC figurine. Some Skeleton Soldiers would look be extremely cool.

Artwork advertising the 7" Ultimates figures shows them and Warduke and Grimsword on the backing card of the retro figures.

The line has a lot of potential. I hope they do loads more characters including the cartoon. Even some of the horses and a large scale Tiamat would be awesome.

This is excellent! I cannot wait! There is so much potential from this line! Keep ‘em coming!

On a fun note, here’s a pic of me opening my Fortress of Fangs on Christmas of 198whatever. I want an updated version of this! Even in 6”. It might be big but, it was kinda a small playset to begin with.

That's awesome. A new Fortress Of Fangs would be very cool.

It was definitely a great Christmas! I used to use my D&D and my MOTU (even Star Wars) all together. This playset was also a home base for my GI Joes, at one point. 😂😁

It looks a very fun playset you could use with most 80s figures.
Never had many playsets growing up, just the Starcom Starbase Station.
I also never had any of the D&D figures but several years back I got several figures.

    Wow!

These were two of my favorites when I was a kid!

I really hope that this means the entire vintage line is planned for the 7" scale ultimates...

(Fun fact: when I first read A Song of Ice and Fire, I pictured Tyrion looking like Zarak!)

I haven't read the books but I heard a lot of the characters looked very different in the books compared to how they looked in the TV series.

Strongheart was an awesome I design. I hope they include his hammer from the cartoon.

Yup... I refuse to watch the show (at least until the books are actually finished), but from I've seen (because nobody could have avoided GoT forever...) the characters are NOTHING like their literary counterparts... which is a shame.

    Yeah, Strongheart is very cool...

My absolute favorite though, was Elkhorn the Dwarf. I cannot wait to see how Neca handles him! And Melf for that matter... a line of 7" fantasy figures from Neca just sounds so awesome!

Now, fingers crossed for Neca to secure rights to the cartoon characters!!

Yup, sorry I meant Zarak but combined it with Kelek.

Cool. I thought Zelek might have been a D&D character not in the cartoon or LJN line.
Kelek would be an excellent figure and must buy.

I do hope they can make the cartoon characters. Just think how awesome a 7" Venger would look.

I am not keen on the TV show. I only watched a few episodes that some of my friends were extras and acted in like the second last episode.

That would be amazing. Around 18"-24" high would be perfect.
The LJN Tiamat was disappoinitng compared to how Tiamat looked in the cartoon.

There's a good chance that we could still see Tiamat because she was not created for the cartoon, rather she was a big part of the D&D mythos all along.

I honestly don't know much abou the D&D mythos.
Even at 24" Tiamat would still be a bit too small. In most episodes Tiamat seemed to be at least 5 or 6 times the height of the human characters.
If Tiamat was around 40" in height it would be perfect.
Compared tot he LJN Tiamat I would be happy enough if a NECA version was even just 18-24" high.
