Thanks guys! This is one of my favorite pics! I so wish I still had the Fortress (and of course, the box!). I have so many images packed away. My grandparents used Super 8mm film when I was a kid and my dad loved putting things on slides(or never printing photos) so, everything from my youth is locked up in old technology. Someday I’ll see more of them. Lol

I'm jealous of the photo. Almost all of my childhood photos were lost years ago in a fire.

I had the FOF also but ironically I had only one D&D figure. I ended up using it for MOTU and GIJOE.

Get those slides and get them digitized. I did that with my mother's photos a few years ago. She had tens of thousands, and now they are all neatly organized on a hard drive. The whole family loved seeing them.

Oh man, I am sorry to hear that. The same thing happened to a good friend of mine. It feels sometimes like most of mine are lost. Of course, it’s just my family’s laziness over the years. The only reason any of the boxes of negatives and film are around is because of me not wanting to lose anything. Otherwise, a lot might have just been thrown in the garbage after deaths/divorces/life.

I’ve been trying to find the best machine to do it(negatives, slides and 8mm) and I want to start soon or I’ll be dead before I finish. There’s probably 10 big boxes so, time is obviously an issue

For slides, I'd use a service. I used a local Mike's Camera for 8mm videos and VHS with excellent results. There's probably some local shops around you too. If not, there are large national services that do it. Well worth the expense if nothing else but for the time saving.

Every place I’ve looked into charges an arm and a leg to digitize 8mm. The cost has made me want to do it myself.

Might have to call Mike’s Camera and send them their way if the price is right!
around me everybody wants Hollywood prices.

I admit, Zarak and Strongheart are *very* appealing figures. I most want Kellek, Helayne, Zargesh, Charmay, Raven, Ringlerune, and Mercion (and maybe Foxfingers and Caruso) but a lot of those didn't even get LJN figures. Still, these two look great. I only really wanted Warduke from the last pair.

Anyone seen Honor Among Thieves yet? I did and enjoyed it a lot, it was better than I had any right to expect, but I’m not a gamer. Curious to know how bigger fans felt. Seemed like maybe it answered the question, what if Bumblebee had been billed as the first Transformers: it's actually a much better movie, but it features just a few of the iconic elements of the franchise. The main dragon in the movie is like if Smaug had been fat and had the role of the Cave Troll in Fellowship. Even so, it's better than the 2000 movie which had way more traditional but also very boring dragons (and magic, and acting, and story, and everything). And I loved the use of magic, and the chemistry/humor of the cast, but that tone gets a lot of hate from very loud voices online right now.

Haven't seen it yet but have heard great things from players. Thr dragon in question wasn't created for the movie and is actual npc from the forgotten realms.

The problem with the first movie was it thought most gamers took themselves too seriously, that type probably makes up l3ss than 1% of those who play.

That's good to hear! I hope it does well, it's really a lot of fun (but I thought Shazam Fury of the Gods was fun too--maybe not *as* fun as this, but not deserving of being a flop). My point about the dragon was that he's the main dragon we see, yet his role in the narrative is minor (also he's presented as an atypical dragon, even though we don't get used to what a typical DnD dragon is really like, which didn't bother met but I wondered if it would for more knowledgeable fans).

I don't know if more movies would be about the same characters, but this really made me want to see the live action interpretation of the 80s cartoon now.

Gonna cheery pick neca and hasbro for figures that will scale well with motuc. And will get s7 ultimates when they drop I'm sure.

Saw the entire first series of D&D toon figures on discount at Target today...

This makes me sad because we will most likely not see anything new after wave 2.

However, it was nice to get another set for $7.49 each.

Wave 1 has had the undesired effect of not making me want wave 2 at full price.

Mine hit my POL at BBTS yesterday too.

I'm not surprised to see these hit clearance. I don't think they are in the new plan-o-gram at Target. I think Wave 2 will be very hard to find at retail. I was always a bit surprised to see that this line got a retail release and wasn't a Pulse or retail exclusive. It's really a niche line. I said this before, and kind of hate to say it again, but this line seems that it was tailor made for S7. It fills in a lot of blanks that S7 looks for in a line. Who knows? Maybe a Tiamat and Nightmare would have been possible.

Lots of stuff is hitting the discount section. All of the GOTG3 stuff including the Marvel Legends exclusives are all marked down. None of them have spots in the regular Target isle and were only cut into the GOTG endcap. My Walmart is FLOODED with about 10 feet of Black Panther 2 stuff and the Hasbro D&D role play stuff.

Check your local stores... back in the beginning of May, I posted here that wave one was all discounted to 7.49USD at Target.

Hmmm, only Sheila and Presto have hit my POL.

Eric is still showing as preorder...?

This might turn into a case of under-produced wave 2 leading to a shortage / higher demand for the rest of the group.

That was my thought as well. My advice is to grab these when you see them and don't wait.

I also forgot to mention I did get Xanathar from Pulse and I really like him. He makes a neat display piece with other figures. I wish the eye lid was moveable but that's a minor complaint. From what I heard it seems the monster D&D figures did pretty well for Hasbro so hopefully we can get some more despite D&D:HAT not doing so well.

Got Eric today. Man, if wave one was brittle, stiff, and prone to breakage, this figure is downright gummy. No issues moving any joints, but his calves are so rubbery I have a hard time standing him up.

He is what he is. He's my favorite character, but I'm disappointed in the head sculpt and the silver chainmail. (The silver looks nice, but its inaccurate.)

I dunno. I'm really glad Hasbro did these (I wanted cartoon D&D figures SO BAD as a kid), but if another company did them better (like Super7), I'd buy these characters again.
