I think some of them are based of Powers of Grayskull while others are based on early concepts.

As figures, they fall into the same realm of 5.5""savage" format that was so popular in the eighties, and has seen as resurgence lately.
See for example or good friend Mike Zolotorow's Realm of the Underworld.

We are inspired by not just MOTU, but many other obscure lines.
But we are not simply copying any of those.
The majority of the designs are completely original and new, while we'll also have some "guest designs" that comes from different inspirations.
While we are happy that our figures could compliment MOTU well in every collection, these are not meant to be Masters of the Universe figures or Powers of Grayskull figures.
We want to build our own brand and we hope people will enjoy the thrill of finding brand new characters in that format, like we used to do over 30 years ago

We're not doing other's IPs characters
Formo was born so we could do our own ideas and develop our own IP.

    I think it's very exciting.
When we were kids, it was awesome to wait and then find out what new characters were coming in MOTU every year.
We want to bring back that feeling: new ideas, new characters, and if the line is successful, much more

Two things I would like to see a MOTU inspired healer and radio guy.

    Hehe, kinda
We are still finalizing things, but these will be priced similarly to other indie products of these kind. I promise they won't be crazy expensive. We want them to be absolutely affordable

Thatís good to hear. Can you talk about body construction? Are they similar pegs to the vintage line? Iíd be interested to get several of each, one to put with the vintage figs I still have and some to take parts and kitbash to make articulated versions on Origins bodies.
Gaping holes in my collection: Origins SDCC 2019 2 Pack, Weapons pack 1, Power & Honour book 1, SDCC artbook (maybe)

    Good question.

May I add: Rubber bands in the hips or some type of hinge or ball joint?

Also, thank you so much for actually answering us! It is definitely appreciated!

First of all, our new teaser. There will be one each day until the official launch at Lucca Comic Con next week

I'll be glad to answer all the questions after we officially unveil the figures on 29th. But you can see them a bit earlier if you subscribe to our newsletter

Let me just say about POA and pegs: we have a plan for all that, and it will all be explained soon

This latest teased figure reminds me a bit of the Sleestaks from the 1970's Land of the Lost. I think this latest one is inspired by one of the Webstor concepts. Overall, just really cool!

It's actually Mark Taylor's Kang Gi concept. It may have been a concept Mark did before He-Man even. It's possible Roger Sweet had a copy and used that as a basis for Webstor's head design - the similarities are pretty strong.

Definitely reminiscent of the Sleestaks too!

The hints show amazing sculpts, so in theory I'm ready to buy...only POA will either make or break this line for me. Offering limited, 80's style articulation lacks appeal, so I hope it'll be better than that.

Thanks! It would be cool to know more of the backstory on that concept.

Looking forward to the full Formo reveals soon.

I can't help but thinking about Kothos when looking at the very oriental character standing at the back of the "Sharella" renamed character. He's very striking, and I really like the lamp shaped staff reminding the genie he certainly is.

Seeing them all together, this is an incredible looking line. From the email they sent out it looks like preorders open up in January!
