Haha! He was right! All these new reveals definitely mean its the "death rattle" for the line! lol. As much as I appreciate his work on Classics, at this point he just needs to stop talking about MOTU. He's clearly just another profit of disaster at this point making clickbait videos. All these reveals are amazing!

And the Skeleton Warriors are actually made of glow-in-the-dark plastic!!!

One thing I'm curious about regarding Snake Mountain... has anyone explained what the "collar" looking thing on the neck of the snake head is supposed to be? It looks weirdly out of place, like it's not supposed to be where it is. I first noticed it during the prototype phase, but now that it's looking closer to final on this checklist poster, I can't say I'm a fan of how it looks.

I'm getting three of the Skelton Warrior packs. I have six Horde Troopers and six Royal Guards, so six Skeletons seems right.

IMO he's well worth the wait. I'm super impressed with the sculpt and the paint features. I like mine even better with the neck gear off.

In Scott's defense, his last update was about it as a retail line after the Snake Teela wave.Frankly, I don't see alot of retail wave stuff for origins in this reveal and heck of alot of stuff that looks like (Or is rumored to be) Mattel Creations or online exclusives.

Clearly the line is failing because they are not announcing how to get the figures until tomorrow...

How the figures are sold will be an important indication for the health of this line though. Moss Man is an interesting one to watch to see if it's still a Walmart exclusive, and if that's changed then that could be bad for the line's presence at Walamrt.

No it's not. The only thing shown today that has ever had Mattel Creations attached to it is the Skeleton Warriors and that was never said to be the case. We have had listings for every thing shown today on more that one retailer site.

Minus: None


Snake Armour Man-At-Arms

Plus: New claw weapon attachment, 200X variant for those that are fans

Minus: Bland repaint, forearm and shin guards not silver to match rest of accessories


Eternian Guard Infiltrator

Plus: Silver snake staff, and umm...new head I guess?

Minus: Really boring, inconsequential repaint (I know, I know, pays for more tooling elsewhere)


Ssqueeze

Plus: Vintage accurate (mostly), shoulder articulation

Minus: No extra "normal" arms, green is too muted (should be more lime, like the vintage)


Spikor

Plus: 100% vintage accurate sculpt and colour scheme, extra trident arm attachment

Minus: Trident tips rounded instead of pointy

Those are such good announcements

Too bad that the Infiltrator sucks just as badly as I imagined. No, he's worse. Aside from the extra weapon his only "repaint" is lacking red on the belt. And his face is covered. I thought that at least his face will be exposed so you can stick it on Duncan to make Snake Man-At-Arms. What's the point of Snake Man when you can barely see his face? Oh, you know what would be cool? If you could lift his faceplate so he could be in disguise and revealed. I hope he's not core release but I fear he might be.

Serpent Claw is also kinda ugly. I know it's vintage accurate but the orange parts just look odd. I suspect in the original toy you were expected to put a claw over the orange armor since it didn't come off. And they didn't even bother to do mace correctly.

Now I wonder how they'll squeeze all Rulers of the Sun in one minicomic. Unless they'll have their own they'll likely be put in Deluxe one. And what if Moss Man has to appear there too? I'd have Snake Face turn He-Man to stone on the first page, we need that space.

So after all this time I guess we'll stick with Skeleton Warriors name, huh? Plain but ok. I wonder if those new Snake Men will have any names on the box. I also hope that Lord Gr'Asp and Terroar still will get made even if they're not listed here.

I dig that Skeletor's colors are based on his vintage Skeleton & Zoar artwork. This is also first time green/yellow on his face has this vintage style of painting them.

Manny looks good but I see no reason not to use normal hands unless they can't hold his gun. Also shouldn't monster face be orange?

Dragon Blaster looks like it will work but just as I feared, Snake Face is just a second head. I mean we can't be sure but like 90%. At least his chest snakes look like they work though they didn't show it. I mean technically no core toy comes with a second head so that fits. But one stupid extra head doesn't feel like it's enough to be called Deluxe. At least King Hiss was like Masterverse Deluxes, he came with many big accessories that allowed for a lot of customization to his appearance.

Another sad thing is that we have confirmation that Deluxes no longer come with extra accessories. No more fun stuff like Mosquitor's draining effect or Leech's suctionless face and hands. Now you only get them on a technicality like Snake Face normal face. Now Deluxe is just a toy with a complex working gimmick or one that requires big or many plastic attachments to replicate the gimmick. Heck, Moss Man feels more like real Deluxe.

If it's like the other box sets, they won't have a mini-comic so hopefully they get put in one of the deluxe comics.

I definitely understand why they saved these three Rulers of the Sun for last and are putting them out together. I do love Holographo's hilarious pie armor, and it's always nice to get a new bearded figure. But I have no idea what's going on with Kikto and Zap-man. Pretty strange looking guys. I do like the magenta on Kikto.

Randor is regrowing limbs, Adam confirmed to have Snake man blood on his father's side.

Lot's of reveals, but I think we're probably getting to the point where I'm wrapping up. I'll probably get Snake Face and Sssqueeze to wrap up the original Snakemen. I didn't like the first Randor, and actually do like this one, so I'll probably pick him up too. I'd like a flocked Moss Man, but I REALLY don't like either of those heads. I'll probably decide on the Skeleton Warriors after I see them. This may be about the final hoorah for me in Origins.

It is a little odd, given that we know full-well what the toy is called on its packaging, and have done for some time now. "They" seem strangely insistent on this for some reason, and it can't be explained with translation issues.
