If the early waves are no longer being produced where would that leave Australia who only recently started getting the figures in store?
ORIGINS Wishlist: Bow & Kowl, Shadow Weaver, Catra, Swift Wind, Cringer, Kobra Khan, Slime Pit He-Man, Talon Fighter & Point Dread, and Snake Mountain.
It is assumed that there is a stash of older figures from earlier wave that hasn't been distributed yet due to covid related issues and warehouse/port/transportation back logged.
There is no such stash. Any back-log related to the earliest waves would be cleared by now. The delays are weeks - not months now and certainly not a year behind.
I am a buyer for a large retailer and product is flowing, ships are sailing. The dwell times at ports is longer than normal, but things are still moving. Nothing is lost or stuck permanently anywhere - there is no such situation, simply extended delays.
There are new issues at factories related to rolling power outages, raw materials and lack of containers; but not related to anything produced in 2020.

A lot of wave Origins wave 1-4 were showing up on amazon within the last 6 weeks for MSRP. I started collecting Origins about 3 months ago and I couldnt find wave 1-2 anywhere online for MSRP and I stalked amazon for a while. I ended up paying twice the MSRP or more to get the earlier waves due to FOMO. Then suddenly Amazon started carrying figures from wave 1-3 for MSRP. Mattel recently was producing more of the earlier waves so there could be more inventory for international purposes....

Exactly. New inventory made that is arriving. Not stashed inventory from the original release time-frame. Newly produced stock. Totally different scenario to what was suggested (that there were warehouses somewhere filled with the original stock of waves 1 .. 2.. etc.).

I really wonder if Origins will touch NA at any point. It seems that they're willing to explore eras other than vintage.

I really hope so. Even if it’s only a few. NA figures being different proportions to the OG figures has bugged me for the last thirty years 😂
I’ll take an origins NA He-Man and Skeletor. In fact, even if they were the only two they ever did, a two-pack might be a good way to go.
Optikk is near the top of my wish list for Origins! Would love all the mutants, really. I have a 5 year old who is really into villains.
I hope the inclusion of sunman doesn’t take that away from us

Yeah and I'll say it again...Sun-Man should have its own line just like the MOTWWE. I personally have no connection to that line and including them in Origins waves just doesn't seem right.
It won't. If the line lasts long enough, we'll get NA. Sun Man figures have relatively simple tooling and will allow them to spread out the more complicated tooling for many of the remaining MOTU figures.
Mattel also have the trademark for Bravestarr so hopefully he will be in Origins and Masterverse.
