I really want to do the head sculpt too but I have a hard time sculpting small things.
I really want to do the head sculpt too but I have a hard time sculpting small things.
I admit that I had to research to understand who is "temple of darkness sorceress" haha, in Brazil we only talk to White Sorceress, anyway, I thought of doing this to change the parts for another reason, the sorceress's skin in the cartoon is lighter than the one in the figure, but the temple of darkness sorceress has lighter skin, doing that would be easy after all the parts come off, the problem would be the neck that fix on the torso. But, the Banana Oil works well, you just have to be careful not to run it to the parts you don't want to remove the paint.
Overall, it was not difficult to do this, I recommend that you look at the picture of the Filmation figure to use as a reference.
Custom Jitsu
I really wanted to do the Filmation version, but the goatee in high relief didn't allow that, so I decided to put some elements from different versions of Jitsu over the years, for example the eyebrow is from the Filmation version, and the red hair elastic is from Classics version. Furthermore, I improved the painting of your eyes.
Modifications:
- I repainted your eyes
- I repainted your eyebrow
- I dyed the hair elastic on his head red.

Custom Buzz-Off
Purpose: Filmation Version
Initially I just wanted to remove the black teeth, however, I couldn't do it satisfactorily, so I decided to redo the entire region under his nose with epoxy putty.
Modifications:
- With epoxy putty, I enlarged his face and made a new mouth.
- With epoxy putty, I made the sideburns and the arrow in the middle of his eyes.
- I painted everything with the proper colors according to the cartoon.
Boneco Abelhão 1.jpg
Those eyebrows on Jitsu make a big difference.
And I still don't know how you sculpt those tiny details so well on Buzz-Off.![]()
In the case of Buzz off, the initial idea was just to remove the self-relief from the black teeth and repaint, but it didn't look good at all, and it was easier to redo the entire mouth with the chin. And it got better because I could make it even more similar.
So far I've only used epoxy putty, so I don't know what other putties are like, but it's very easy to work with. I have many tools but mainly I use a type of needle that is thick and the tip gets thinner, a pen with a needle on the tip (invented by me haha) and a set of tools that has several balls on each tip, each with a different size.
I don't know if you can post it here, but I'll show you some pictures of very small things I've already made with epoxy putty.
rat - 0.6 inch
marty and doc - 1.5 inch
triwizard cup - 1.5 inch

Wow those are all great for the size they are but that Marty... sheesh! So tiny but so good!
Zoar
Maybe you're wondering, why did he make Zoar if it's just been announced that it will be released in the origins collection, I was just waiting for the announcement to see what Zoar would be like, because I don't like the Vintage version of Zoar because of the size I was hoping she would be a little smaller to be more proportional to the puppets like in the Filmation cartoon.
So I made a Zoar the way I wanted based on the Filmation figure that comes with the Sorceress.
- I made it with epoxy putty and painted
- The jumper I made with a plastic straw and a detergent cap.

UPGRADE: Custom Scare Glow
I like Scare Glow's original plastic cape, especially the texture, even I thought it was real cloth until I took the figure in hand. However, I decided to retire the plastic cape, mainly because it doesn't have the collar up, but also because it's not long enough like in the comics and in Revelation.
The cape was made by my mother, as I don't know how to sew, and she used purple satin and a silver string for the cape's clasp.

Custom Ninjor and Stratos
I really didn't intend to buy the Ninjor figure, however, one of him ended up showing up in a very good price and I ended up buying it. The reason I didn't want Ninjor, is that he never appeared in any Masters of the Universe cartoons, so for me he's just a very random character, not to mention that in my opinion he doesn't match the franchise universe.
Now to recap, when I customized the Tri-Klops I took a He-Man with a vintage head that I bought just to have the entire Power Sword, and I took the He-Man's legs and put it on the Tri-Klops' body. And the black Tri-Klops boots were left over.
So now with the Ninjor, I don't particularly like the red paws of the Ninjor, I think it doesn't match a Ninja those paws. The Stratos in the Filmation version has red boots, and I think it suits the character a lot, and I wish my puppet did too.
So I came up with the idea to put the Tri-Klops' black boots on the Ninjor and the Ninjor's red paws on the Stratos. I think I got a good result.

I was loving all these Filmation touch-ups....until you said you don't like She-Ra!
Now, now, now.....you'd overlook the Princess of Power? Really??
I agree the Origins version is...lacking. So give her a makeover!
I found Ninjor looks better with a bit more red on him; more even accent distribution.
I'd recommend Clamp Champ's boots or just painting the trim red to help him fit in with all the fur-trim space barbarians.
I like your idea of giving Stratos the bird feet; I did the same with mine, except I only had Skeletor's feet spare.

Vote with your wallet.
Companies will stop predatory business practices when we stop rewarding it and scrabbling for the newest shiny like brain-damaged junkies.
It's not that I don't like She-ra, I have nothing against her, but I'm not a big fan of her Filmation drawing, although
I really liked the new one on Netflix.
I really don't feel like collecting the Princesses of Power. But I intend to catch some Evil Horde villains, I already have Hordak, Mosquitor and Leech.
Coincidentally, I was even thinking about She-Ra Origins at that moment. I know myself, if I saw She-ra for sale at a good price maybe I would buy it despite not wanting to collect her group, I would buy it for the desire to customize her. But Wave 3 is very rare in Brazil, big stores didn't receive it, only small online stores, I'm lucky to have Mer-man, Zodac and Roboto.
Yes, I agree with you, it lacks red on the legs, but I really don't make a point of modifying it, as it's not a character I'm familiar with, it's not a problem for me to go all black, and it doesn't look too bad all black either. And yes I thought about that too, about Clamp Champ's boots, but I don't want to miss him.
But, I loved what you did on Stratos and Ninjor.
Custom Skeletor
Purpose: Filmation Version
I didn't mean to do that, butttt, I ended up buying the Skeletor with the vintage head. Normally I always prefer my figures with neutral expressions on their faces and standing to attention, I don't like when they are with their mouths open and in a battle stance.
Despite that, I was very fond of Skeletor Origins with his mouth open, but I still wanted to have him with his mouth closed, not can't explain but he with his mouth closed reminds me more of the Filmation drawing, I really can not explain why I think that. haha
Modifications:
- I painted his eyes entirely black.
- I painted what would be the muscle in the eyebrow region a fluorescent yellow to create a meaner look.
- I painted the corners of the mouth black, to make the opening of the mouth look bigger.
- I repainted the shape of the nose, to make it more like the cartoon.
- I used eposi putty to make the teeth, and then I painted it a lighter yellow.
- I painted your nails black.
- Using a tool that had been heated up, I made a hole in the Havoc Staff's skull to make his nose.
- Using a tool I had heated up, I pierced the middle of the horns on the goat's skull.
- I painted the entire staff's skull in gray and then using the technique of dry brush painting, I shaded the skull.

Custom He-Man
Purpose: Revalation Version
I have two He-Mans, since I bought the He-Man Vingage to have the whole sword and used his legs to customize the Tri-Kloops, now I have one more idea to avay the parts of my second He-Man.
I wanted to make the He-Man vest (I really don't know the correct name for it) in Revelation. Don't get me wrong, I like the classic maltese cross, it's even the symbol of my Brazilian soccer team, Vasco da Gama, but the H/M symbol invented for the He-Man Battle Armor, is something more original, with some meaning. I have a slight impression that the people at Mattel in the 80's simply put the He-Man symbol as a maltese cross, for lack of idea, it wasn't something very thought out.
Modifications:
- First I removed with pliers the excess of the high relief of the cross.
- With a heated knife on the stove, I smoothed out as much as possible the place where the cross was.
- With epoxy putty, I covered the entire middle of the vest and then made the symbol.
- Then I painted as in the Revelation cartoon.

THat's some really good work on the Skeletor head. Very detailed. I like it. The fingernails add a lot too.
Great work!
Here's a few of mine:
Goddess with head by Guillermo Grande, repainted and dyed certain parts of the figure to better match source material:
Mer-Man with the color scheme of the original prototype and B-sheet:
