A very quick teaser that doesn't show or tell us much, but on the strength of how much I love the first one I will still be there opening day.

I'm not understanding the "Part 1" bit in the title. Why are they splitting this story in half? This doesn't seem to be a Dune style situation.

Lord and Miller revealed they crafted a story too big to contain in one movie.

The comic book version of Spider-Verse has at least two follow ups, including 2018's Spider-Geddon, which furthered the story of the battle with the Inheritors. It's possible both that and the original story will be explored in this two-part feature.

It almost looks like Miles is heading for the Pavitr Prabhakar reality before being hijacked by Miguel... which is interesting. Why is Spidey 2099 attacking Miles?

I'm not so sure they will adapt any of that stuff. Especial since the Inheritors are among the most disliked Spider-man villains.

Kinda looks like the style changes when Miles goes into other universes. I wonder if that's setting up how this Miles (and Gwen) can enter into the MCU and become live action.

That's cool... always down for more story. But that said, it would have been better if they could figure out a proper stopping point to still make the second and third movies complete stories within themselves.

Matrix 2 and 3 work fine when you watch the trilogy as a whole. But they're generally panned because they don't work so well split and released with such a gap between them.

Dune and IT... they get a pass because of the source material limitations. It was a necessary evil due to translating into a different medium. This has a lot more latitude without such restraints.

Well, it's no secret that Across the Spider Verse is delayed until summer 2023... but, I was hoping for a new trailer by now.

I finally (FINALLY) got my hands on a PS5, and was able to upgrade my Spider-Man: Miles Morales to the PS5 version for free... sooooo, I've been having a blast swinging around Manhattan in my Into the Spider-verse duds... (the ray tracing on the glass buildings is insane.)

This got me hankering for more animated Spider-bliss... and it seems I'm going to have to be more patient.

Yeah... it's got some big shoes to fill, but I think it can pull off a strong followup to Into the Spiderverse.

From what I've read (avoiding spoilers), this movie is a bit darker than the last... but, lightens up in the third movie.

According to Spiderwiki, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has a release date of March 29, 2024.
