WTB: Origins figures

I've decided, late in the game, to jump into Origins. My initial plan was to buy only the figures I don't own in the vintage line, but I never saw anything past wave 1 in stores. I bought Beastman then for that purpose, but that was a long time ago. I never saw any more in the wild.

Just about two weeks ago I stumbled onto the Jitsu wave. Literally the first single figures I've seen besides wave 1, ever in a store. So I bought him, Clamp Champ and Teela-na. The next week I bought Ramman and the two Battle armors (on sale at Wal-Mart). I'm kind of in love, and now I'm hoping to find decent prices for the figures I'm missing. I only really want vintage figures for now (regardless of whether or not I have them in the vintage line), but that may change at some point. I'm hoping to find really good prices, as I have a lot of catching up to do, and a very limited budget to work with (I stress the word 'very'). And I know that BBTS has several figures for sale, and I'll probably have to resort to them, but I'm hoping for the kind of prices that only fellow fans can offer. As I said, I have a lot of catching up to do, and my funds are extremely limited.

Also, I could use some info on some things, for instance, where does the clean shaven Man-at-arms head come from? Did they ever release Teela and Evil-Lynn with corrected knees?

The head comes with the Palace Guard set. Great set!

Yes, Teela and Evil-Lyn (yellow and purple versions) have old knee versions and new knee versions. It's harder to find the new knees though.

Side note, white Sorceress has both knee versions also.

Thank you for the info! I do want the white bird lady, but I'm not really sure how to go about that, because I have absolutely zero interest in the castle. I think it's very ugly. Plus it's not really doable for me right now anyway. But maybe one day I'll manage to find her.

They're not $15, but there are a few on eBay right now that'll save you from having to buy the whole thing.

Are the Palace Guards exclusives to somewhere? I keep seeing that word, but I don't know where they are exclusives to. BBTS has them for Pre-order, so that would be my guess, but some people already have them, so I don't really know.

Come 2022 only fans willing to help a few other fans out to "sell" things staying under $600 for the entire year or saving every receipt, shipping etc. and doing extra tax work to show no profit was made. Starting this year it has become a whole lot more difficult due to the american rescue plan introducing the $600 tax rule.

I'm in the same boat as you with Origins but I'm buying them for my kids

Yeah, that whole thing sucks. I don't sell things often, but when I do, I'm not making much, if any, money off of it. But now the gub'ment thinks the entire amount is income, including the money you get back that you spent on the item in the first place and the cost for shipping. I know you can deduct stuff but that is such a huge hassle. I won't even bother selling on eBay. And even what I sell through forums, I'm going to have to keep to a minimum.

Managed to find Buzz-Off, Mosquitor and a flocked Panthor tonight! WOOHOO! Unfortunately that's all of my funds for the moment, except for about $33. Still very excited!

I am really having trouble tracking down Webstor, Stinkor and LOP Mer-Man. Of the 4 Wal-marts in my vicinity, one will probably never get them, because it is a small store, two had the wave, but I missed those figures, only the green godless remained, and the fourth had mini comics Stratos, leaving me to believe they will not get wave 5, or else they did get it, and sold all four figures.

Is anyone in the position to buy these if you find them, and then charge me cost plus shipping, with no up-charge? I'd really appreciate it. I've been to all these stores multiple times, and these are two of my top most wanted figures. Since I started late, I really need to find all that I can at cost, or VERY near it, in order to have any hopes of catching up.

Thanks if you can help, and I understand if you can't but I thought I'd ask. I might not be ale to pay until around the 15th or so.

Thankfully there is a forum member who has snagged me Webstor, Stinkor and LOP Merman at Wal-Mart prices, and he's not up charging me, I just have to pay the store cost and shipping. I won't be taking them off my list until I get them in hand, just in case it falls through, and someone else might find them.

Ok good glad to hear. But yea it’s a pain for me since I am mainly a MOC collector and spend the extra $3 to get an undamaged card. Good luck on your searches

I should have an extra new knees Teela in the coming week, I bought one and the card was a little beat up for my taste, so if you are an opener, I'd be happy to help you knock that one out if my replacement is in better shape (coming from BBTS, so it should be)

That would be awesome! I do open them, so the card isn't too big of a deal. I do keep the cards, so what kind of damage does it have? If it's ripped to shreds I'll probably pass, but if it's just bent a little I'd probably take it. I'll shoot you a pm with my email address. It's easier to get in touch with people through e-mail and we don't have to constantly clean out the .org mail box. Would you mind sending a pic via email?

I went ahead and put Clawful and Horde Troopers on the list. I expected to find them on my own, but all of my Wal-Marts have a glut of wave 7, so I'm not expecting to find wave 8. I don't have any money at the moment, and I'm about to have to figure out how to afford MCX Snake Mountain, so I won't be able to afford more Origins anytime soon, but I figure I should at least have my list up to date.

Adding Kol Darr to my list. I was there as it went live, clicked the link when the timer said one second left, clicked add to cart and nothing happened, so I clicked it again and it said sold out. What a joke. This really reminds me why I hate toy collecting.
