Here is the EXO-6 Michael Burnham!

    This looks really good too!

Although, I wish that she came with an alternate head with her long hair...

    **Update**

    This is just plain fantastic!

I love the '70s style animation... and that it's based on one of Voyager's most infamous episodes!

Great Lady, I always love his story about MLK Jr convinced him to stay on Star Trek. Beautiful Lady, I also love him being a Madam in one of the movie that I forgot

    RIP Nichelle Nichols.

Playing a three-hour Rush show is like running a marathon while solving equations.

Yes, she was a great lady and an inspiration.

Thank you for being a pioneer, not just into strange new worlds, but also for other Black actors.

Whenever I think of Nichelle Nichols, I am always reminded of the episode "Mudd's Women", in which the women mentioned were supposed to have taken a drug that made them superhumanly attractive. They could never be on screen at the same time as Nichelle because she was so much prettier than all of them. She was a great inspiration to many.

I got to meet her several years ago, really as genuine as you'd expect her to be. Caring, giving you the sense that she cares about what you have to say. She is one of the few in pop culture that will live on in our collective memories. She was a trailblazer, a roll model and a force. May she Rest In Peace among the stars, haling frequencies are permanently open.

The Season 3 Lower Decks premier is hilarious - as always!

I was a little surprised at how quickly they wrapped up Season 2's big cliff-hanger...

But, I'm really looking forward to the rest of this season.

I really enjoy this show - so much!!

Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go's had another band called FroSTed, the capitalised ST is in deference to her Star Trek fandom.

Also, Leonard Nimoy appeared as a taxi driver in The Bangles music video Going Down To Liverpool, with Debbi Peterson performing lead vocals.

"Tell me I am beautiful - it means nothing to me. Tell me I am intellectual - well, I know it already. Tell me I am funny however, and that is the greatest compliment in the world that anyone can give me".

New Playmates Star Trek action figures reviews are up.

I'm not very impressed... after all these years, Playmates continues to make figures that look like they're still in 1992.

    Check them out here:

I'm surprised they haven't been...astute enough to offer ST figures in the standard 6 inch scale that collectors prefer. They should be in that size or not at all. Seeing ST figures either too small (like this new line) or too big (Mego) is incredibly frustrating. I'm ready to buy when they get their heads out of their asses.

I read somewhere early on that Playmates was petitioned to make this new line in the same scale as the original 90s figures, but I'm not sure if this is the complete story...

I am not feeling these new figures... however, if they make the crew of the USS Cerritos, I'll buy every one of them!

    Neat story:

In 1964, Lucille Ball was the sole owner of Desilu Studios and the first woman to ever run a major Hollywood studio. At the time, Desilu producers were looking for ideas that could be developed into new series and they contracted two ambitious writers to develop pilots: Gene Roddenberry with "Star Trek" and Bruce Geller with "Mission: Impossible."

Desilu took the Star Trek pilot to CBS with whom they had a first-refusal agreement but the network rejected it and opted to pick up another new space-themed show "Lost in Space." The studio then took the pilot, "The Cage," to NBC which called it "too cerebral" but, rather than rejecting it outright, they took the unprecedented move of ordering a second pilot, "Where No Man Has Gone Before." The network decided to order a season but the Desilu Board of Directors balked. Fearing that the studio was overstretching itself with three expensive new programs -- Star Trek, Mission Impossible, and a western called The Long Hunt for April Savage -- all but one of the board members voted to cancel Star Trek in February 1966.

Lucille Ball, however, had high hopes for the fledgling show and was impressed by Roddenberry’s vision so she used her power as board chair to override the decision. Production of the show continued and the first episode aired in September of that year. As studio accountant Edwin Holly later conceded, "If it were not for Lucy, there would be no 'Star Trek' today." So the next time that you’re watching Star Trek -- or one of the many science fiction future worlds that it inspired -- remember that you have one more reason to love Lucy!
