I love how in a Princess Of Power colouring book that there is a recipe called Perfuma & Sweet Bee's Honey Squares. I haven't tried making them yet even though they sound delicious. I thought I would transcribe the recipe here for my friends and fellow POP fans.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup & 2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup light brown sugar packed firm while measuring
1 egg beaten
1 egg yolk
3 tablespoons milk
1/3 cup sliced almonds
1. Preheat oven to 350 %,
2. Take the flour sifter and hold it over a large bowl. Put flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt into the sifter and sift into the bowl.
3. Add butter, honey, sugar, egg, egg yolk and milk, stirring as you add.
4. Beat all ingredients added so far for two minutes.
5. Pour the batter into the pan.
6. Sprinkle the cup of sliced almonds over the top.
7. Put the pan in the oven and bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
8. Remove pan from oven and loosen the dough from the pan with a knife. Flip pan over on to the cake rack. Dough should slide out. Let it cool.
9. After dough is cool, cut into squares.
