Are you kidding? Sold out before the queue resolved, in less than 3 minutes? WTF? I added it to my cart quite literally the second it was available...

Oh, AND I got an e-mail from Mattel saying come buy it at pretty much at the exact moment they told me it was sold out. Way to rub it in.
Sorry to hear it guys.
I stayed up a bit past 3 am in the hope that the thing would come back in stock (because selling out in 3 minutes was bizarre).
Apparently I should have stayed up longer - it came back around 3.40 for half an hour.
Now I'm even more disgusted with Mattel than I was last night.
It's such bad marketing. They should have released it together or sooner. Their fans are across the world.
It looks very much like the 3-minute sell-out was the result of an incorrect date being advertised for delivery. Someone chose to kill the sale in order to spend an hour and a half fixing that text just to avoid everyone receiving an automated e-mail about it.
I submit that that someone is a dolt of the highest order. And so was the fool who couldn't do simple proof-reading before everything went live.
What a complete mess. It just seems to be consistent screw after screw up from Mattel. From the leaked figures into retail to this split online release. I really think these exclusives do more harm than good to the fan base.
I simply cannot understand why every manufacturer moving forward wouldn’t copy Mondos 24hr ordering period, that seems to have been an unmitigated success!
My delivery day says September but others have said July and August so was that an error or are they manufacturing more?

It gets worse - people are now receiving notifications that their successfully placed orders (or so they thought...) are being cancelled due to lack of stock.

Yeah, e-bay has a policy that flatly forbids all of this, but refuses to enforce it.
And even if it did, they'd just pop back up when the items are actually delivered.

People keep telling me that if you go to a Toyworld you can have them get in a specified Origins figure. I can't confirm this, as I don't have one near me.
Also, if you have a Toymate near you, they currently have stock of this wave (but you won't find it on their web page for some reason).
I haven't found a singe origins figure in retail (except Battle Cat).
To be fair, I gave up after a few visits with zero MotU instore, so I haven't actually looked in a lot of stores lately.
If its your last dream figure, wouldn't paying a few extra $$ online be better than potentially missing out?

I ended up buying 6 off avalankids on eBay. They are only a 6$ markup on retail (25$) and they combine post. If you are buying multiple these are the cheapest I have found at the moment. If you are only after one probably not so cheap once you add postage.
