I seriously am still holding onto some hope that She-Ra will appear in Revolution. Also if we get season 3 I hope the wait isn't as long as we have waited for this season.

Both Ted Biaseli and Kevin Smith both said that is not gonna happen, tough there is a miniscule chance they are killing expectations to wow us the last minute? Tough that marketing strategy would be really weird...

When season 2 was announced last year, the executive producer stated they can't use She-Ra within the first 24 hours. It's not a marketing tactic. But to manage fans' expectations since most fans when they hear "Hordak", they naturally associate "She-Ra".
This info of no She-Ra was repeated just two months ago in the podcast interview with Dad_At-Arms.

Also if we get season 3 I hope the wait isn't as long as we have waited for this season.

It has been stated also, that if season 2 is a success enough, then having season 3 greenlight is more possible (right now that's just how it works). And that they do have already plans what that season would entail.

Agreed I hope it does good so we can get season 3, right now it looks like CGI got cancelled so if Revolution doesn't make it we will have sad repeat of 2002. That means the only MOTU show not cancelled before a proper ending is She-Ra... Unless the 2md season ends on a nice spot that is?

Who do we think Shatner is playing?

My bet is on Zodac. Cosmic Enforcer played by a Star Trek legend. Would be a good fit, too!

I meant that an answer was provided within a day of the announcement. No She-Ra.

Some fans thought that the news of She-Ra is only been revealed inside last 2 months. Like a tactic.
But that's inaccurate. They were never holding out on that info by any means.

On July 20th, there will be a panel at SDCC about Revolution with Kevin Smith and some of the cast.

The description on the panel describes the special guest appearance as a "goliath appearance". That reads like very specific wording to me.

Or big as in level of fame: William Shatner?

Has there been any talk if the 5 episodes are longer in runtime than last season?

They have a lot of territory/characters to cover in just 5 eps.

And I thought they didn’t get much done plot-wise in the first 10 episodes.

I watched an old episode of Spider-man and His Amazing Friends the other day and I was amazed how much story and subplot they were able to successfully fit into its 25 minute runtime. Didn’t feel rushed or shortchanged but so much happened in it. (The Vengeance of Loki) Not groundbreaking entertainment, but impressive writing from a succinct story aspect.

Hoping they get a lot done in these 5 episodes. No more fetch quests please.

That's lame - how can they possibly tell a compelling story with only 5 measly episodes and show the many characters fans want to see?

At the rate it takes them to make this show, I don't really have the patience to wait 2 more years after these 5 episodes to see a follow-up

If that is true, Keith David would make a great Hordak. Although I would rather Michael Ironside as Hordak, due to his performance as Darkseid.
