People are getting their Wundar cancelled again!!
At least that's what some collectors are saying in a German forum.

A case of wait and see but I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Mattel, even when doing MTO after the backlash, have messed up Creations ordering every step of the way.

I'm sure this time it's not Mattel's fault. Might be some payment / shipping address problems.

Sorry, has anyone received their Wundar figures from the second pre-order?
It's been ages already and no sign of shipment. It looks like Mattel emulating Super 7 business strategies
Great trade orgers: Son of Keldor - sdilks -JeMaBo2 x3 - Kowl - Bigassbuzz (Hyveofvillany) - Queen Marlena - mikescab - whitespyders

I think some people have, but the pre-order said up front that it would take a while to ship due to being made-to-order. I believe the date given was July 2023? On top of that, Mattel Creations shipping has been getting slower lately, so I expect many of us will be waiting even longer than that.

Correct, my order shows July 31 as the expected shipping date on Wundar.

It's all done in monthly batches for reasons known only to Mattel, they told me that in an email. But right now they can't even ship stuff that's in stock!

It's done in batches so that other things can get shipped as well. I would imagine they got enough Grizzlor orders to fill at least one shipping container. Shipping all the Grizzlors at once wouldn't leave room for the next retail wave or whatever.

If that's so they need to get serious. It's the most unprofessional company front I've used so far as it is.

It was a company exclusive that was going to be made due to high demand after initial orders were much higher than expected. They basically re-did him to please fans. And for less than the price of 3 combo meals from McDonalds.

I don't understand why people have such a hard time understanding how businesses and supply chain work.

Try waiting 2 years for product you ordered directly from Super 7

Someone hasn’t been to McDonalds recently. But sadly spot on with Super7 preorders.

Sorry, but I can't think of a single company that ships specifically the way they do, exclusive or not. And I've bought from damn near everybody with a dedicated online store. It's got nothing to do with supply chain for supposedly in stock items for instance. And no company in it's right mind ships exclusives to it's customers over 5-6 months, or individual figures 4 times over in a box capable of holding 2 or 3. They don't even send out shipping emails half the time. Nobody should be making excuses for them, especially when it's a brand that's prospered despite Mattel.

I'd add that Super 7 are a bit player relative to Mattel. Hosting franchises they don't actually own.

Mattel's not sending then to us in batches, they're getting them from production site to distribution site in batches.

They do when an item is sold as "Made to Order" and they said as much BEFORE the orders went live.

Mattel had to rely on a shipping company (that was awful) for classics. The reason being (my guess) is, like most manufacturers, they aren't really set up to ship and supply to individual customers. They primarily ship to retailers and other distributors.

I believe they're having a tough time with the logistics of shipping to individuals. I also believe that they have a large business to run with MOTU only being a portion of. They're doing what they can to make a profit.

What I don't believe is that they're just being lazy, or just don't care.

I was being conservative. For most of the places my wife and I occasionally go, we spend more than the price of a figure on 2 combos.

'Please be advised that we do process the shipments by batches' is what they said. I'd do a screenshot but this site is a nightmare for that on a phone.

When did they specifically state folks would receive their orders months apart from each other? And I mean the stuff that wasn't on hand initially. That's what I'm getting at. As I pointed out the other day, that's just unnecessary emails for all concerned.

The whole thing smells of not having enough staff, whether backroom or in the warehouse. Near a month to get a reply to an email. Shipments only arriving because you pestered them. 4 or 5 individual boxes from one order. And so on. It's cheap at best when they're clearly trying to expand just like Pulse and everyone else.
