    Happy Fourth of July

    Happy Fourth of July to all, whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Person of Faith or a non-believer, white,, black, red, yellow or chartreuse, straight, gay or anything in between.

    I read a lot of articles lately about how patriotism is on the decline. That saddens me. We who are citizens of the USA are all Americans. Patriotism isn't about what political party is in power or what politician shouts the loudest. Those things are transitory. They'll pass. What will not pass is that this is a country founded by mutts, that believes in freedom, liberty and justice. Many have died for those principles. Countless others have put their lives on the line to defend those rights because they are rights worth living. Let's remember that and let's remember the sacrifice others have made.

    Good heavens, are we actually coming to the point that we can once again poke a little good-natured fun at ourselves, 'good-natured' being the operative word, without everyone going crazy? Maybe all isn't lost yet...

    Happy 4th too my fellow americans.

    I watch Independence Day movie on UHD 4K today and on the 4th i'll watch Jaws on the 4th of july on 4K as it's a 4th of july movie

    Here in Monroe the city had their big party on the 2nd. People were still celebrating pretty loudly on the 4th though.
