It's hard to know now, between the way Mattel have changed up waves since Stinkor and just how many repaints/remoulds we've gotten recently even for this brand. There hasn't been much time between Randors never mind Teela variants. The cheapness is definitely creeping in, that Snake pack is 100% parts re-use and doesn't even have weapons for the Grunts. I suspect that's why they vac metalled the power sword in case the set REALLY warmed warehouses.
Just wild speculation on my part but did anyone else notice the Snake Man-at-Arms body mold color looks like an vintage MOTU Mer-man color?
I wonder if he might get re-released with "vintage" colors? Purely speculation but it's not hard for me to imagine Mattel releasing the main line again with subtle differences.

I noticed that, I wondered if it was their attempt to match it to the colour scheme of the original 200X figure.
I do think Mattel will release some of the first few wave characters again but with variations like Filmation style.
If they do Mer-Man again, I'd want a blue one.
Also, a Stratos with proper red wings.

Just seeing that color though...I remember thinking that all the new brighter color on the figures was probably due to different dye and plastic availability. But now I see nearly a perfect match. Maybe is was on purpose? But even that purpose (while I'm speculating) was just to make them more appealing.
Who knows? I've love to have that vintage color on a Mer-man though.

Dragon Blaster Skeletor art shows a Battle Bones before being a "living skeleton", a creature with skin and muscles. Do you think Mattel has plans to make an Battle Bones Oriigins that has a sort of "skin" that you can put or take out to display as creature or as classic BBones?

It seems a plausible list but maybe instead of LadyL they offer us Reptilax (Who appears on Camo Khan art). A shame because LadyL is my most wanted Snakes members. Anyway Reptilax is very cool too.
I had the same thought about Battle Bones. If we get it I just hope it's a bit more pliable than the original, it broke easy!

Not a bad list but we've already gotten all the deluxe figures for the year. Any deluxe figures will be in gift sets, exclusives or have to wait until next year.

If we're done with Deluxe sets then I hope we get 2024's around November/December this year. I don't mind if Mattel brings their releases forward.
Wave 13 has been the most extreme example of us an early release and I'm all for it. Just wish they'd distribute them evenly. Besides King Randor, Big Bad Toy Store should be shipping Wave 13 in the next week or so.
There's a good chance that Wave 16 isn't Rise of the Snake Men but I am hoping for one final wave of snakes.
Typically we see the first wave of the year at the end of the year before its secluded release.

I've had a good look at the latest artwork teases on the Snake Men 4 Pack, and think Mattel Creations is going to release Fang-Or (as well as Lord Grasssp and Terror). It'd make sense for the announcement to coincide with SDCC but each figure could be sold separately at different times this year.
I also think there is going to be a Snake Mountain accessories pack. It's going to include a snake face that goes over the monster face and an additional snake head. I think it'd make sense for Skeletor's table with the orb to be the other accessory.
Here's a link to Roy Jaurez new artwork (also shared in the Origins news thread) and you'll see Fang-Or and the modified Snake Mountain are featured prominently.
I do hope they follow suit with two Mattel Creations exclusives for the Autumn/Winter. Some of those Snakemen from the art would be good choices IMO. Strobo has also been featured prominently.
Nods in the artwork dont always get made, but they often do.

Not counting vintage character nods because that stuff is gonna get made ANYWAY, characters teased and NOT made far outstrips those that did get made.
They teased and made what? Snake Trooper, Frog Monger, Skeleton Warrior and Green Goddess?
Versus teasing and not making (so far) Marlena, Delora, rhinoceros man, the Obelisk demon, Terroar, Grasp, purple cyclops, red gladiator, Dylamug, Octavia, yeti guy, witch woman, robotic rock man, Slither, the full 200x royal council, grayskull sticker werewolf, etc etc etc.
Seems to me package art teasers of non-vintages RARELY get made.
Non-vintage ones dont get made often.
But I just referred to any characters in the art, including vintage. I am not taking for granted that ALL vintage will be made.
And the 2 guys you listed are 0 new sculpting characters. So aside from Lord Gr'Asp and Terroar I'm not holding my breath.
You left out a lot of characters that got teased in the art then got made, including but not limited too, Randor, Faker, Flying Fists He-Man, Thunder Punch He-Man, Mossman, much of the Horde and most of the Snakemen.

No, they were obscure concept art. If you count them like actual vintage toys shipped to stores, there's no limiting principle to exclude dozens of other characters sketched by Mattel designers rather than mini-comic or cartoon artists.
