New Product Launch: Entertainment Earth Drop Zones: Mattel

I saw a new tab on Entertainment Earth's web page today called Drop Zones. The text reads:

    Drop Zone: Upcoming Product Launches
Get a sneak peek and set reminders for our most anticipated product launches! The Drop Zone will keep you up to date on what products are launching for sale or pre-sale and when. Never miss a drop again!

And there are two Mattel pictures. If you click on them, they will NOT notify you of this new product when it launches - it just adds the date to your calendar. Apparently Mattel will be launching 2 new products on Thursday, August 25th at 12 a.m. PT. So no idea if this is MOTU related or not, but it could be.

"For sale or pre-sale" so something could potentially just drop there for sale. So I guess we have to remember to go to EE that day and time and see what just drops out of the sky for sale. Hopefully this isn't a way to sell super exclusive MOTU items.

There are plenty of other brands up on this tab too, so it's not just Mattel doing it.

Thanks for the heads up! It is a little odd that some of them have specific logos (Transformers, Barbie), while most just have the company logos.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Would be nice if we knew for sure if it was MOTU or not.

Knowing that it's (probably) not Barbie does help narrow the field at least. And, as you suggested in the other thread, Origins Randor and Whiplash is a good guess.

I saw that this morning. Thanks for updating. Hopefully it won't all be Jurassic Park this time. Maybe we'll get something.

My guess is that we'll at least get the Randor/Digitino/TrapJaw/Whiplash wave.

Good guess. And the other 2 slots are the Masterverse Movie He-Man and Skeletor that were just announced Tuesday, possibly.

MOTU figure drop Saturday at 12:00 am PT.

What are your thoughts? Movie Skeletor and He-Man? Ground Ripper? Maybe a surprise drop? Weird that it’s on a Saturday morning (or Friday night)

I hadn't noticed. Thanks for the heads up.

My guess would be Ground Ripper/Mekanek because Amazon says it's supposed to ship on Oct 5. Movie Skeletor is a good guess too.

Ok, so…literally nothing. It’s just stuff already up for preorder. What was the point, EE?

I do love that Jitsu is topless on the main photo for the full wave set.

I thought that was a funny choice when I saw it. Maybe too much red in the picture. Lol

It's possible that EE has another MOTU drop coming on March 21st. Could be wrong, but the tag line they use is "This drop is out of this universe!"

Often, the tag line is a tease for the drop.

Speaking of EE, I am using them to get all my MOTUO figures for the time being.

I just received my wave 9 case this week and all were single language English. I still have waves 10 and 12 on pre-order, got wave 11 Rattlor already, and wave 11 Bolt Man has been shipped. Still waiting on wave 11 SA He-man and Kobra Khan.

I guess I am technically behind but considering I have never seen waves 8 and 10 in stores, I'm not too late to the party.

This drop also lines up with the news coming Monday.

    Sssssweet!

Hoping this gives them plenty of time to shoot a crap ton of great photos. I was really impressed with the presentation yesterday... it's a step up (even if the actual news from Mattel's own outlets is an area they still need to work on).

I ordered everything from EE this time around. I like being able to order the complete case of figures since it helps to ensure the cards will be in good condition. I'm also not willing to risk getting international figures again and have wordless comics. I know BBTS supposedly fixed this problem, but since shipping is free at this point, there's no reason to risk it.

Can't wait for the Snake Mountain reveal/preorder!

I'm not sure if they'd be offering more exclusive figures or not this time around?
    Creativity is addictive.
