Now collecting all three lines - Masterverse and Core have won me over

When I started collecting Origins (and I buy 2-3 of almost all Origins figures and vehicles) I was adamant I would not start collecting Masterverse and CGI.

But I've since been won over by the Masterverse New Eternia figures in particular - first by New Eternia Skeletor (which made me pay attention) then NE Beastman, and what absolutely sealed the deal for me was NE Two Bad and Man-E-Faces. I cannot possibly skip these figures, and this has led me to buy Masterverse 40th Anniversary He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Hordak, Trap Jaw, Tri-Klops, Stinkor, Spikor, Stratos, Roboto, Frosta, Catra, Fisto, Movie Skeletor and Movie He-Man. I am skipping characters I don't like such as short-hair Teela, Revelation Evil Lyn, and Revelation He-Man.

In terms of CGI, my kids love the CGI show, so it was easy enough for them to convince me to get He-Man and Skeletor. Then I saw CGI Castle Grayskull and thought, geez, this is waaay better than I would have expected. Then I saw CGI Hordak and Merman, and thought 'these figures are getting better and better'. So I'm collecting those now, too.

The good things - financially speaking - are that I don't collect any other toy brands, only MOTU.
And I'm increasingly skipping Origins figures e.g. all of the newer He-Man (such as Thunder Punch and Snake Armor He-Man) and Skeletor variants, all Rulers of the Sun figures, and I can't see myself buying Snake Teela, Snake Troopers, and orange Roboto either. I'm also skipping the Zoar and Screech two-packs, and I think I'm done with vehicles too.

Do you find that you're becoming more invested in CGI and Masterverse as these lines evolve?

It's very likely CGI line will be ending now so iit shouldn't be too much of financial burden. If you don't care about vehicles and variants there only 19 characters (5 heroes, 4 villains, Adam, Orko, Manny, Stratos, Triklops, Mosquitara, Mer-Man, Hordak, King Hiss and Moss Man) to collect. Of course some side toys are tempting too like Cosmic Skeletor. Besides, you won't get him his Painthor? It was his birthday gift!

Why do you think the CGI line will be ending soon? There are a lot more characters for them to make.

I’m not sure I can say I’m “collecting” the three lines, since I had to cut down a lot on toy purchases last few months, but I’m definitely with you, that I have figures from all three and enjoy them all!

Origins was my first “all-in” series ever, till recently– I love it but I ran out of room (and money), so I’m focusing on their “vintage” figures now mostly, and some others if I really like them.

Masterverse I was in at 50%, mostly figures i don’t have from Classics… I’m trying to get them mostly on discount but still enjoy them. NE rocks! Some of the Revelation designs look cool (just not He-Man and Skeletor :-)

CGI is my least priority but I love the basic He-man and Skeletor and a couple others… And that Mer-Man and Hordak look awesome! Also the next Skeletor coming looks like a mix of NA Discs of Doom and NE– that’ll be a must!
Thankfully these are very affordable but, yeah, looking a lot at sales and clearance options for all 3 lines. And will get a couple more boxes for under my bed lol

They are but so far it doesn't look like the cartoonis getting next season and without that... I mean, they made Moss Man. Book character. That just screams "we did everyone we wanted from cartoon."

I’m in on all three lines- 4 if you count MEGA. CGI has been a fun bunch to collect. Still holding out for Randor!

Origins has really taking over the collection rooms. I went all in on it so I have carded and loose. I officially need a whole room for MOTU now. Lol. Literally tried putting all my carded Origins on the wall and I don’t have a single wall big enough to spread them out. Peg board walls are in my future

I love Origins but, part of me needs them to wrap this up in the next year and a half. I need to complete this collection before I run out of room completely. Lol

The other part never wants it to end.

Get rid of the bed and learn to sleep while standing. Now you have more free space. Sell bed for more figures.

Those were collector tips with Bear.

Although I have figures from all three lines, I was mostly interested in Masterverse and CGI from the start. Between no info if the CGI show will continue along with liking Masterverse as a scale/form factor more (and the possibility of more CGI characters being done in that line), I've stopped on the CGI figures, too.

So although I root for all three lines to continue, I've mostly lost all interest in Origins, just watch CGI from afar, but mostly looking forward to more Masterverse news.

There's usually at least one or two figures in each new wave of Masterverse that I'll want, but I just can't seem to get into the CGI line. From the CGI line, I bought the first He-Man and Skeletor and the translucent clear He-Man, and haven't picked up any others since. I think the line I collect most is Origins.

I buy probably 80-90% of Origins releases so that’s my main MOTU fix. CGI I don’t have much interest in - I’ve only bought the Snake playset and the Talon Fighter (both on clearance). I was buying most of Masterverse but I think I might get out of that line. Limited space makes it hard, especially when I pickup a few other lines. If I have to choose just one MOTU line, it would definitely be Origins.

There's just no love for the minis out of all the new motu lines i loved the minis the most. It seem to be abandoned ... again. I like the mini because of the style & scale. This is the ideal scale for world building of eternia without having to sell my bed and learning to sleep standing lol. The origin castle grayskull is the perfect scale for the mini imo. Can't wait to get snake mountain to add to my minis.

I'm 100% into Origins. I was into the minis and MEGA, but they seem to have faded away for the most part. Here's hoping MEGA is still alive though. I was collecting Mondo figures but they have just gotten too expensive so She-Ra was my last hurrah with Mondo. I'm not into CGI at all and have purchased maybe ten Masterverse figures. With Masterverse all I would want is anything POP at this point. I certainly can't afford nor have the space to collect everything.

Now that I think about it shouldn't we get at least one more CGI toy? They comes in threes, last one was new He-Man, Hordak and Mer-Man, next is new Skeletor, Moss Man and ??? (I don't count Hiss because he's Deluxe) Stinkor? Randor? Rattlor? Webstor? Gary-or?

Toy lines wise; I'm all in with Origins (except for the missed or very expensive exclusives; SDCC/Power-Con, MC's 4 Pack, however I was lucky to score the Castle Grayskull accessory pack) and MEGA, but only cherry picking a couple of characters or so from the Masterverse and the CGI lines.

That being said, if the CGI characters/vehicles/beassts/playsets get a representation in Origins or get a proper articulated line, I'll be collecting them all. I got Trap Jaw's Cycle the Chaos Snake Attack playset because they're compatible with Origins, and I might also get the CGI Castle Grayskull eventually

I also collect MOTU statues, but I'm not sure how far I can go with those with my current situation; space is being the main obstacle aside from the very high price tag!
    Creativity is addictive.

I do love the minis, just when I got back into MOTU, the three new full-size lines were all the rage, while it was getting quiet about the minis…
Hence, as stated above, very into those 3 lines. But yes, size / space HAS become a huge issue! So I’m kinda slowing down collecting– or trying to!

I do have some of the mini vehicles, I love them at that size! Just got the Battle Cat set, and have a bunch of other things.

I also dip occasionally into Mega, (and other MOTU products), but I’m not really a builder / tinkerer. I have a few figs, and I would have gotten the new 5-figure set, if it was wasn’t canceled!

It’s great to have so much stuff to choose from!

But people are actually receiving it. It's six figures:
