    BBTS....let me go!

Hi guys, I'm having a slight problem with this site (now they've been great to me over the last few years so it's not that I'm not grateful) But I basically cant get them to stop billing me when new figures come in stock? So for example, I'd put a figure in my pile of loot, and then from out of nowhere they would suck the price of the figure off my card without even sending me a notification to say, for example 'in stock now and do you wanna pay for it now etc'. This week for example they took the few quid I had in my account till my next paycheck. In order to try stop this I noticed that there is no facility for you to go into your account and try to cancel your existing card payment method. All you will get is a facility to add another card which is bull (and I don't want to do!!!). I looked a bit further and if you want to cancel your whole BBTS account you have to call them which again is bull cause I don't wanna do cause I want the option to buy from the store again in future...BUT ONLY WHEN i HAVE THE CASH TO DO SO PLEASE! Any suggestions?

You can cancel your orders by going to My Account > View Order History > click the red View Order button > Edit Details. There you'll see Quantity to Cancel, change the number to however many of that item you are canceling, then click Continue to Next Step.

There is no way to keep an item in your pile of loot without it having been paid for. As soon as they get the item in stock, they charge you. Most times they warn you, but sometimes not. They do not give you an opportunity to confirm the purchase. You're basically confirming the purchase when you choose to order from them.

Bigbadtoystore's preorders will always charge your payment method when they come in stock. They usually let me know beforehand (through email) when something is expected to come in, but that doesn't guarantee that it will, and sometimes preorders just show up in stock without any warning. If you actually check the website for a particular item, there is sometimes a short window of time between when it shows up as in stock on the website and when it arrives in your Pile of Loot, but that window of time can last anywhere from a day to a matter of hours, so it can be very difficult to know beforehand whether or not an item will actually hit your Pile of Loot without constantly checking the website. Sometimes the item will hit your Pile of Loot as soon as it shows up in stock on the website, so it's best to not leave anything in your Preorders List that you aren't sure you can safely pay for.

    BBTS needs:

    1.) a Wishlist
2.) a notification system that tells you when items on your wishlist are in stock.

As far as I know, Pile of Loot also means the item is already paid for and it's ready to ship... POL doesn't mean the items are saved for you without a payment!
    Read all about it here:
    https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Help/PileOfLoot

As for the payments, you can add a new payment method, and once it's added, you have the option to remove the old payment method. I think BBTS won't let you deleting "all" of your payment methods in case they need to refund you for any reason. If you cancel an item, you'll get a store credit if's in your POL and passed the 7 days grace period.

Sorry but this is the most illogical post i have ever seen. Have you read anything on the site about how pile of loot works or preorders in general from any store. Your not charged until the item comes in stock. Every store does this. Why would they not charge you for an item that you ordered? If you dont want to pay for the item or dont have the money then simply dont order. Once you have the cash place the order for the in stock item. Why would any company confirm the order for something you should be confirming yourself at the time of purchase. BBTS is not a loan company.

Notice that when you pre-order, you are placing the order, purchasing the item (you're just not paying for it yet), and having it shipped (to POL). This is basically just having them reserve it for you, and the cost of doing so is you paying for it when it arrives. This is actually a great service. You don't have to pay upfront--thus, if something were to happen and an item is cancelled or something, you don't have to worry about getting refunded.

I had never used BBTS before buying Masterverse figures, so I was hesitant to trust them, but I have had no problems with them at all. When Roboto popped up in my POL the other day I decided to order SunMan as well (which I had not sent to my POL before). I thought I was having them shipped together, but I must have done something wrong and it will now be two shipments, which of course means I lose a little on shipping. But I'm not worried about that. $4 for each shipment can't be beat anyway. I probably could have called them and got it straightened out and done as one shipment, but it's not that big of a deal.

I love POL as it is because I can order an item, having it held for me, then if I decide I don't want it, I don't have to take it or pay for it if I've changed my mind.

Night Ghast... I think your best option is just to not use POL. Just keep your eye on the website when you have the funds for a figure and buy it. I've noticed that after a time, they seem to have most figures back in stock anyway.

Just cancel your orders if you don't want them anymore. I do it frequently especially if I find it cheaper which happens all the time. If they already charged you and the items are in your PoL you will get a credit. Bbts because of their PoL is probably the best online toy store in the world/universe.

I think that BBTS will refund a POL item if you cancel it within a week of it hitting your POL. After that they issue a store credit.

[QUOTE=Darkkosis;4014924]you can add a new payment method, and once it's added, you have the option to remove the old payment method.

That was part of my problem, I could not see an option to remove the old payment method, maybe I didn't look hard enough. Thanks for all the replies though.

P.S. I have an item in my POL that its coming near to it's expiry date, which I presumes means it will have to be shipped yes? It's a pity cause there are a few other items that I wanted to ship along with it to save on shipping etc. I'll just have to let them ship the item if time is up yes?

There’s a loop hole to the ship date. As long as the item is still in stock and at the same price you can always cancel the item get store credit and reorder it. It reset the number of days they will hold it for you. At least it use to

There is a bit of misinformation in this thread.

BBTS has always, and will always charge you for anything that you preorder when it comes in stock.

Whether you have it ship immediately or go to your Pile of Loot.

The main purpose behind the POL is to save on shipping costs and cut back on the number of boxes coming to your house. (I choose to use it mostly to limit the environmental impacts.)

Wow, did not know that, cheers! That may save me a good bit on shipping, thanks.
