See you folks again in the other side.

We’re about as late March as late March can get, and although the post from Val said the outage may start in April, just wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone a happy downtime while there’s still a chance.

Let's just hope the forum and site overall finally get fixed after...how many years?

Well let's give props to Val and his volunteers. I'm sure the site is expensive to maintain and he has done an amazing job for decades.

I still say we should run a campaign where we each kick in $5.00 to help. It's a freaking cup of coffee and I know it would make a huge difference. I can't imagine how much out-of-pocket in dollars and time Val has laid out over the years.

I'd be in for that. I imagine a lot of us would.

They used to do that a long time ago. I'd be up for another round.

Great idea. I will gladly give more than $5.

Bravo, Brasco! I didn't want to bring it up, but I certainly will, too. But anything anyone gives will surely be appreciated, put to good use and represents a long overdue testament to all that we owe to Val and his team and, of course, it's to our benefit to keep the board in great shape. Man, I was in withdrawal when it was down for so long the last time...

Count me in to help Val and He-Man.Org too.

They didn't publicize it very well, (in fact I had to be told when I suggested they do a Patreon), but there was a way to do a monthly $5 donation. I did it for quite a while (enough to become a Silver Warrior it seems!); it was canceled during the downtime. Gave me a fright when that happened.

Okay, so we're all agreed. Can we please have someone who's tech savvy step up to facilitate this?

Maybe it says something that the rolling donation was canceled. Maybe it doesn't.

Where does everyone go to get their MOTU discussion fix when this board is down?

I just keep an eye out on IG, Twitter and Facebook, and I hate it lol. Everything is all over the place whereas here everything is all compiled into one convenient place.

Yup. Even though I don't know any of you personally, I have a good idea of a lot of your takes/opinions. There's a sense of familiarity. You don't get that with everyone on Facebook throwing **** at a wall.

I tend to follow Fwoosh, but that is generally more for discussion of figures for imminent release

The last time, I swear I basically just wandered around in circles just doing what most everyone else did- constantly checking every site I could get info from. Lol

I mentioned on another site that the collective knowledge, experience and shear amount of good and heated conversations is something can never be replaced. This site is a gem of all gems!

I’ll miss you all when we go down and no doubt, everything cool will drop while we’re away.

Maybe it's not going down, which would be great. Anyone have a date? It seems to be working fine, but that's just me.

Search function doesn't work for me and neither does the multi-quote function.

Those still do not work, but at least Today's Posts is working again. The forum seems to be quicker for me too.
