TRU Birmingham has the usual figures packed to the eyeballs but has a very good selection of the Snakemen. I got mine from there and they sell out pretty fast, new stock is in almost every 2 days, but i've always been too late for a SA he-man.

Wolverhampton Woolies has loads of Buzz Off, Whiplash, Roboto, Man-e-faces, Two Bad, Tri-Klops (original) and the million varients.

Birmingham Woolies is useless as usual, still Orko, Trap Jaw and Martial Arts He-Man.

Do we have any Woolies staff here? Are they getting the snake figs in, and if so what's the delay? Do TRU get a lead on everyone else, or what

FNEH is from preston (check pg 2 of this thread) could be worth PM'n him, or give the Preston Toys R Us a call.

Regarding staff and snakemen at Woolies, I'm more interested to find out what is going on with TEELA, it seams that even Mattel don't know what is going on there!!

But I wouldn't worry about Snakemen showing up, the Argos Catalogue is out on the 24th July, get yourself down to your nearest store for 9.oo and you should get your pick of the bunch!! Also the impression I get is that most stores: Tesco, Asda, Toymaster will be getting them. But yes it does seem that Toys R Us do get the figures first but when it comes down to it I don't care which store gets what, when....I know that if I wait I will get the figures I want for the right price!.
Best example of this, SA HE-MAN, I saw one go for nearly £50 on ebay, I checked the location of the highest bidder, guess where.....
The UK!!!!! fool with more money than sense!
These figures will soon be everywhere, I have no doubt!

I don't live anywhere near a TRU, or an Asda. There's a Toymaster, but all they've had for months is a Battle Tank and a 5 standard He-Men! All full price too I didn't think Tesco would get them again after selling off everything at 25% of their already discounted price, do you know something I don't about that?
That leaves Woolies and Asda, so I should manage to get them eventually...

I just wish TRU would update their website, they're selling everything in their shops but the only figs listed on the site are old out of stocks!

Gotta say, I'd rather see a Teela than a whole rack of green cards though.

They didn't have anything last time I was there, but that was two or three weeks ago so who knows?

I agree with you on the Teela issue!
The whole Tescos thing, I don't know anymore than anyone else, I just think, based on my local Tescos, that the line sold well in my two local stores(even better when the price was dropped!) Tescos have always drastically dropped the price of certain items only to wack them back up to full price a few weeks later. Maybe not all, but some Tescos will get them (I think!! )

Do You have an Argos near you? if not try their website, they have the snakemen there (do a search for "snakemen") You might have to call to get the figures you want rather than ordering on-line. plus if you get really desperate I'm sure other members of the org will help you out!

There is an Argos, so I'll be trying them. Argos online is useless though, I asked them before and you can't specify figs even by phoning. They said the only way you could do that would be to request a viewing in store, so obviously you're stuck with store stock only.

Some orgers have already been a great help, thanks to 13977 and Anthony I've either got or am getting Evil Lyn, Prince Adam and Zodak. Cheers guys

Went into the city centre today and basically in all the shops I visited I saw the same figures such as Whiplash and Two Bad, then a ton of Jungle attack He-man or whatever he is called.

Some of the cards in The Entertainer were terrible as they had sellotape all over the hooks holding the hook together and stopping it from ripping!

In my opinion those should have been reduced.

To tell you the truth, my local Woolworths had a much better stock of figures than the Nottingham Woolworths had!

I'm guessing I won't see anything of interest now until saturday when Argos start selling the Snake Wave.

So who is camping outside their local Argos friday night?

Personally I'm gonna make sure I'm down there for when they open so I pick up a SA He-man for somebody on the board!

Anyone else gonna be at their Argos this saturday for 9.00am?
Most wanted Filmation style MOTUC figures:

Hunga the Harpy, Webstor, Kobra Khan, Leech, Whiplash, Rattlor, Catra Cat Form, Ram Man, Count Marzo, Two-Bad, King Miro, Twiggets, Frosta, Kothos and Admiral Scurvy.

I know the new Argos catalogue is out Saturday, but does that really mean they are going to have all the new stock listed in store then? Are we not quite likely to be met with a knockback, saying they should be in next week or something like that?

    It's a very real possibility!!!

    BUT.................

I would imagine that most, if not all, stores will have them. Seen as they have been released in other stores already. You normally find that the reason they don't have an item in stock (especially toys) is that they haven't been released yet

For those that recently found a Teela in Woolies, was she in an assortment with standard and Spin Blade Skellys, Merman, Beast Man etc.?

Exactly. Which means that they want to sell all Snakemen figures for the full price each.

I'm pretty confident that most Argos stores will have them for sale this saturday.

Possibly no Snake Men in Argos.....yet.

Being an Argos employee I just wanted to let you all know not to get your hopes up too much about getting the new Snake Men figures straight away when the new catalogue comes out on Saturday.
I have been keeping a close eye on the stock the past few weeks and as far as im aware the figures in the new book will have the same cat number as those in the current book, meaning if your store already has figures in stock it will still be those they will be selling on Saturday (and if the rest of the stores around the country are like ours with a pile of unmoving Martial Arts He-Men) it is doubtful we will see new stock of Snake men arriving soon
Sorry if this is disapointing but better to know now than go rushing out on Saturday and be disapointed, the best bet at the moment is still Toys R Us.

I've never really been keen on buying figures from Argos because you always need to find out what they have in stock after you've lined up. Going to a shop and seeing the items in stock on a shelf (such as TRU or Woolworths) is the way I like to shop

I wonder how well the figures actually sell in Argos because this is a major turn-off for me!?

Well my local Argos has about 4 figures left (all 4 Jungle attack He-man) so I'm pretty sure that they will get at least one case of good guys and a case of bad guys for saturday.

I wouldnt be so sure. The argos I work at never had any of the figures that are pictured in the new catalogue, and we had wave 1 until about April. At the moment all we have is about 10 MA He-mans, the good stock clears fast.

As the catalogue number hasnt changed, stock may stay the same, for example, the catalogue thats just ending featured WWE RA6 figures, but all weve had is WWE RA2 figures from the catalogue before, both of which had the same number.

Ive seen the new catalogue, and im afraid to say that all we have in it is the Snake figs and Greyskull

    Slightly off-topic, but...

As many know, TK Maxx has been the place to get the Battle Armour figures (as well as certain vehicles, apparently - not that I've ever seen any...) in the UK. Today I went into the Romford TK Maxx to see what I might find there. I certainly found something, but not at all what I was expecting... a NA He-Man Terror Punch!! Unsurprisingly, the box was a bit battered, and I haven't opened it up to check the contents (don't know if I ever will...), but for only £2.00, there was no way I was going to pass that up!

Has anyone else come across any NA merchandise in their local TK's? It was certainly an odd finding - the kind of item I'd expect to find gathering dust in some old independent toy shop or newsagents, but not in a store like that!

Yeah, oddly those have been showing up since January-ish. Usually in opened and battered boxes!
