Ohio Collectors!

I suppose the OH collecting thread was too dormant to keep. Anyway, there's a Rattlor and a Hsss sitting on the pegs at a Media Play near Frankllin Park mall in Toledo. Still haven't seen a Fisto or Zodak since my Aldi's runs last November.

man...i haven't posted in a while, but to kill the Ohio thread? That seems a little harsh!!! I wish i needed those figs...i want new MOTU so bad, almost enough to buy dups!!!

I reside in the Columbus, Ohio area. I'm already a member of GoG online. Wouldn't mind meeting some fellow MOTU fans/collectors from the area in person.

I'm also a member of the Ohio Star Wars Collector's Club (www.oswcc.com) and we regularly get together once a month by region and annually for the whole state. Anyone interested in trying this within MOTU circles... I'm game for hosting a little kid-friendly, geek-welcome get-together!

Second double-post (last one)...

As of 1pm today - I visited 3 different Media Play locations in Columbus, OH (Morse Rd, W. Broad, Eastland/Hamilton Rd.) and all three were stocked with a wide variety of the new mini/micro busts... including Stratos... which I already have arrangements to buy elsewhere or I would have been all over him!

Retail price @ Media Play: $8.99

And most were not minty packages - but the busts look nice!

I'm just posting here to say that I picked up all three micro busts at Suncoast Motion Picture Company for $8.99 each in North Olmstead in the Cleveland area. A great deal, if you ask me. And I'm getting to spend money on something new that's MOTU!

how's the paint job on these look? i know you can't be too picky for $9 but i'm curious none the less. anyone pick them up and want to share pics?

First off, I thing For $9 - we should be able to be pretty picky! That's pretty steep (IMO). Might be worth it... but it's still steep!

As for the paint application - they all looked really nice to me in the packages. I'm waiting for Stratos to arrive at my doorstep within the next few days. When they get here, one will be opened for sure and I'll give it a review if you'd like!

Exactly how small are these busts if $9 sounds high? maybe i'm just not realizing how "micro" they are.

My MICRO skelly is standing beside the Bendy LOTR Gollum figure.. Skelly is a couple cm shorter.... I also got him at media play.. I think I want some of the MINI bust,, how tall is Evil Lyn?
I also want the Skeletor statue,, but I am debating on the 150++ monies on that.. But I really want it.

About 3" to 4" tall. Base and all.

[EDITED INFO HERE] I was wrong about the scale of the NECA micro busts. The correct info... it appears as if NECA / Horsemen took the molds from the New Toyline and cold cast busts from them. Stratos' bust is nearly identical in size as the action figure. Good or bad? I dunno - he looks great! [END EDIT]

I'm just a cheapskate. I'm a person who would wait an dbuy something at a Wal*Mart over paying inflated retail at a specialty store. That's just me. These busts are only currently available at Media Play (and online) so $9.00 is good. But I bet if Wal*Mart had them... they'd only be $6 or $7. That's why I say "$9 is steep"

Kay Bee Toys at South Park Mall had Castle Grayskull Version 2.0 on clearance for $19.99 - with a buy one, get one half off. A friend and I each got ourselves a Castle Grayskull for about $15.00! I actually like this version better than the original one.

They also had figures Buy One, Get One Half Off - included that Deluxe Armored Figures with the Clawed Skeletor.

Oh man! Columbus doesn't have KBs anymore!

oh yeah one of these days I'm thinking about starting my own Masters of the Universe costuming club where the costumes must look professional and look like the toys(not like that so called sucky he-man movie). Thats after I get buff of course. So I can be skeletor. I'm obsessed with He-man I can't help it.

I live near southland mall. Question! Why does it seem like all of the skeletor figures on ebay are missing there bottom waist pieces? that bothers me to see all of those incomplete skeletors, and there all missing that same piece. (Argh, TK "SMASH") Oh well I already have a complete skeletor so thats not my problem.

I bought a repaint skeletor at kbs in dublin. toys r us has nothin nor kbs, at least the ones Ive been to. Anyone know of a thrift store that gets in classic he-man figures, or flee markets?

Ebays our only hope.

I heard that in southern ohio they found some motu stuff like the snakemen wave etc. guys???
