More photos of the Sketch Book Mark Taylor He-Man figure

More photos of the Sketch Book Mark Taylor He-Man in the MOTU Origins line have just been released! While the figure is mainly based on an earlier, sandal-wearing He-Man concept (the image of He-Man battling a plant monster), it also includes another head with a horned helmet, which is based on Mark Taylor’s revised He-Man B-sheet design that he came up with a few months later!

Update: the box art for the figure has been revealed. As usual the art is full of Easter eggs. In addition to the Mark Taylor concept Man-E-Faces in the illustration, there is also the Crimson Countess, a character created by Danielle Gelehrter for the 2012 create a character contest (poster illustration by Errol McCarthy). There is also a Dungeon Master Skeletor concept design, originally by Colin Bailey. This may have been related to the “Smoke and Chains” Skeletor concept, which eventually morphed into Dragon Blaster Skeletor.

There is also of course Mark Taylor’s 1970s Castle Grayskull design in the background!
