Recently, Limited Run Games and Mattel revealed the cover art for the hotly anticipated retro-styled “hack-n-slash” video game “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction” featuring art by talented Comic Book Artist Freddie Williams II. On Instagram saintgong recently shared what appears to be an early sample for the Great Black Wizard. The character was created by Axel Giménez in the MOTU Classics era. The figure sample that was posted is not complete, and is missing the helmet, cape, and other accessories. It will be interesting to see what the final figure looks like, assuming this is legitimate! The legs used would also suggest that Blast-Attak is soon to follow!
An Australian MOTU collector has allegedly gotten his hands on a packaged King Randor figure from the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Filmation line. The figure appears to include a scepter and a short sword, and is closely based on Filmation’s design for the father of Prince Adam. No word yet on when this figure will be available for purchase or pre-order. Keep in mind that some AI pictures of King Randor have been circulating recently, but this at least appears to be genuine.
