Laser Power He-Man, the heroic master of light energy, was released in 1988 in Europe only. He featured a light-up Power Sword, powered by a 9V battery in his backpack. The first Italian-made version of the figure featured a unique new head sculpt. However in 1989 the Spanish version of the figure was released with the original He-Man head. The figure was not originally planned for the US line, but specifically created for the European market.
