Just prior to the launch of the 200x line, Mattel released a limited series of Commemorative reissues of the vintage Masters of the Universe figures. The original packaging was recreated, but it was housed inside new black exterior packaging. The line mainly focused on vintage figures that had come out between 1982 and 1985, and only stuck to figures that featured a lot of shared parts.
