Mekaneck, the heroic human periscope, was released in December 1983 and discontinued in 1985. The figure came with a yellow mace and removable clamshell armor. By twisting his waist his head would periscope upward. Although technically he was released in late 1983, he first appeared in Mattel’s 1984 catalog and is generally grouped with the 1984 wave.
