Plot Summary: Unable to sleep by herself due to her constant life in the Horde, Adora ventures out of her room. She finds Angella, reminiscing on the memories of her husband, King Micah, who was killed in the war when Glimmer was very little. Angella tells Adora the main reason why she accepted her into the rebellion despite her background is because she deeply loves Glimmer, and trusts her daughter who has vouched for her. Angella lets Adora know not to disappoint her daughter.
Joining Angella and Spinnerella and Netossa (a couple who are the only princesses outside of Bright Moon still with the rebellion) Glimmer and Bow explain to Adora the princesses of the other kingdoms slowly left the alliance as the war seemed more hopeless. Since then, however, new princesses have taken the crowns of their lands, and thus the first mission is to help the land of Plumeria, and hopefully recruit its leader, Perfuma, into the alliance. With a briefing explaining how the Horde has been laying siege to Plumeria, Angella allows the Best Friend Squad to lead the mission.
Meanwhile, Shadow Weaver can sense Catra is lying about her knowledge of what happened to Adora. Shadow Weaver and swears to find out the truth, but is soon weakened by an instability of her magic. She returns to her chambers to re-energize with the help of he own runestone, the Black Garnet.
As the Best Friend Squad arrives at Plumeria, Adora begins to struggle with the fear that people only love her for her role as She-Ra, and not who she is at her core. After discovering the plants are dying, The Best Friend Squad is greeted by Perfuma who explains the prophecy of their kingdom states the She-Ra will arrive to solve their problems. After a celebration, and some overly dramatic mythologizing regarding She-Ra’s accomplishments from Bow, it is shown that the Horde has established a facility nearby choking the life out of the Plumerian forest. After trying to single-handedly revive their Heart-Blossom (the main tree of the forest containing Perfuma’s runestone), She-Ra reveals she is simply an ordinary girl at her core. Perfuma and the Plumerians decide to evacuate while the Best Friend Squad decides to infiltrate the facility.
In the facility, the Best Friend Squad discovers the power source, but runs into serious trouble after they are caught. At the last moment, Perfuma and all other Plumerians burst through the walls fighting, and together they all destroy the power source. Plumeria and the Heart-Blossom are restored to full health, and Perfuma joins the Princess Alliance.
As Shadow Weaver looks over captured footage of She-Ra fighting in the Horde facility in Plumeria, she realizes Adora has been She-Ra all this time. Despite her orders from Hordak to stop worrying about Adora and focus on the rest of the actual war, she tells Catra her new goal will be to bring Adora back to her.
Glimmer and Bow decide to have a sleepover in Adora’s bedroom to help her get some rest like she did in her past life.
