MOTU Origins “Mark Taylor” Castle Grayskull was a repaint of the original 2021 Origins Castle Grayskull, following the color scheme of one of the early Castle Grayskull prototypes, designed by Mark Taylor. The repainted set also included a replica of the play mat designed by Mark for the original castle. The playset included repaints of the accessories that came with original Origins playset, as well as a modified version of the “Space Suit” figure that came separately the Mysteries of Grayskull Power-Con set.
While the intent was to pay homage to Mark’s original design, the actual shape of the castle bore little resemblance to Mark’s creation You can learn more about that prototype here.
