Plot Summary: The Best Friend Squad each receive invitations to the Princess Prom, a high-prestige ball that only happens once every decade. The prom is being held in the Kingdom of Snows for the decade, led by Princess Frosta, so the Best Friend Squad also sees the ball as a great opportunity to recruit another ally. As they begin making plans, Bow reveals that he is going with Perfuma, much to Glimmer’s chagrin. Glimmer helps Adora in understanding proper etiquette at a ball.
Catra discovers that Scorpia has also bee invited to the prom, learning that she is herself a princess as her parents were the original owners of the Black Garnet. Deciding to use the prom as an opportunity to put Catra’s plan into motion, the two start getting ready.
Meanwhile, Adora and Glimmer start getting ready themselves. On the day of the prom, the two meet the eleven-year-old Princess Frosta, much to Adora’s surprise. Adora and Glimmer then meet up with Bow and Perfuma who then learn they will be sharing the night with Mermista, Seahawk, and Entrapta as well. Once Catra and Scorpia show up, Adora pleads with Frosta to not allow them in, but her pleas are rejected. As the prom progresses, Adora constantly tries to catch Catra in the middle of a sinister act only to discover she is not doing anything against the rules of the party, but rather spending time with Entrapta. Meanwhile, Glimmer laments over her fear that Bow will eventually forget about Glimmer now that he is hanging out with Perfuma, fearing she will lose one of her only fiends. Once Glimmer and Bow regroup, Glimmer preemptively accepts an apology she was expecting from Bow which he had no intention on offering her, much to his irritation. Bow steps outside and falls into a trap set by Scorpia, Kyle, and Lonnie, who restrain him.
Adora does her best to try and convince Frosta to join the alliance, but is unable to win her over. During the dance event, Glimmer and Perfuma tell Adora that Bow is missing. When Catra taunts Adora, Adora snaps and fights with Catra. Before Adora can be kicked out the prom, explosives go off, causing the palace to shake. Adora then pursues Catra, and after a short fight, saves her ex-best friend’s life. Catra then flees to the safety of a Horde hovership, where it is revealed she, Scorpia, Kyle, and Lonnie have captured Glimmer and Bow. Adora is helpless as she sees her enemies take her new best friends back to the Fright Zone.
