Plot Summary: Arriving at Bright Moon, Glimmer collapses due to a lack of magic, and Angella, shocked to find her daughter finally arriving after being gone for an entire night and morning, escorts her daughter back to Bright Moon’s magical runestone. High in the open tower above, Glimmer recharges and lets her mother know she is in for a big surprise. Glimmer and Bow are planning to surprise the queen with the reveal they have found Etheria’s ancient prophesied warrior who will save them. Unfortunately, Adora, secretly hidden in Glimmer’s room, is unable to transform into She-Ra again despite the transformation call. Sneaking outside Adora tries again and again, but is only able to use a magical blast to transform her most recent friend “Horsey” into colorful and majestic alicorn who quickly flees. Attempting to follow him, Adora is unfortunately seen with the Horde insignia on the back of her shirt by Bright Moon civilians and guards, and she is quickly chased out of the kingdom into the Whispering Woods. Angella hears news about a Horde soldier spotted in Bright Moon just as Glimmer and Bow discover that Adora is gone.

Meanwhile, Catra is extremely distraught and emotionally broken over Adora’s deflection, which soon catches the attention of Shadow Weaver.

As Adora flees into woods she comes across an extremely old hermit named Razz living alone and recognizes her, calling her “Mara” for an unknown reason. After searching for berries to try and make a pie, Adora and Razz come across the First Ones temple and activate an image projected into the sky of stars which Razz remembers, and Adora only vaguely recalls somehow.

Meanwhile, Shadow Weaver confronts Catra on her recent failure to bring back Adora, to which Catra accused her mother of failing her through poor leadership. Enraged, Shadow Weaver brings Catra to Hordak himself.
After Adora and Razz observe more ruins and past devastation caused by the Horde, the ancient woman reflects tells Adora it is okay to be afraid and that she needs to act on her own beliefs and thoughts if she is to confront her problems. With newfound confidence, and seeing Swiftwind captures by more Horde soldiers, Adora successfully transforms into She-Ra. She-Ra successfully defeats the evil forces but is knocked out in the process. Razz and Swiftwind successfully bring Adora back to safety just as Horde reinforcements arrive, and the new ancient mentor fully supports her new friend’s decision to head back to the rebellion to fight. Riding back on Swiftwind, She-Ra walks in on Angella scolding Glimmer for letting a Horde prisoner into Bright Moon. She-Ra tells Angella the truth that she, Adora, is a defected Horde Soldier, and despite the background of the just-arrived hero, Angella accepts her into the rebellion.

In contrast, Shadow Weaver brings Catra to Hordak. The dark lord takes Catra’s side, believing she is correct in condemning Shadow Weaver’s leadership, and gives her the promotion to force captain.
