Plot Summary: In the far away Kingdom of Dryl, Princess Entrapta, a tech-savvy, genius scientist, Princess Entrapta, is experimenting with an odd piece of First Ones tech. Her experiment goes awry and the First Ones tech’s power ends up spreading, corrupting the army of robots Entrapta has built into a violent frenzy.
The Best Friend Squad heads to Dryl, unaware of the dire situation. Bow reveals to Adora and Bow that he has been developing a new “sonic arrow” to which Adora and Glimmer mock the idea of needing a projectile that only emits noise. After arriving at Dryl, the four of them notice the place seems abandoned with an unsettling atmosphere. Soon after, the Adora and Glimmer fall into a trap right into the depths of Dryl while Bow is secretly abducted by a pair of hands from the shadows.
Landing in the massive underground maze of Dryl, Adora and Bow find themselves lost only to run into Entrapta herself. Meanwhile, Bow was taken in by Entrapta’s kitchen staff (a baker, servant, and provider of fizzy drinks) who have sealed themselves shut inside their quarters to avoid the robots.
Adora, Glimmer, and Entrapta retreat from, and then face off against a giant cleaning robot, and in the process She-Ra’s sword is corrupted by the same virus spreading across to the robots, causing She-Ra to become a mindlessly aggressive brute. Glimmer forcefully takes the sword away from She-Ra, who then powers down and is seemingly intoxicated from the First One’s tech virus. Adora, Glimmer, and Entrapta soon set off to navigate the maze to head back to the main lab to shut off the power source allowing the virus to spread.
Meanwhile, Bow is encouraging the kitchen staff to fight for themselves, and he successfully formulated a plan to defeat some robots proving the strength of the trio.
When Adora, Glimmer, and Entrapta reach her main lab, it is soon discovered the robots changed the password and a direct assault from the front entrance is not possible. Retreating from incoming robots, the three are eventually surrounded, but Bow and the kitchen staff arrive to save them. Using the air ducts to get into the main lab, the seven heroes combined manage to destroy the power source, where the final blow is delivered by Bow’s sonic arrow.
As the Best Friend Squad leaves with Entrapta now recruited into the alliance, Adora and Glimmer acknowledge Bow’s ingenuity in his more unique inventions. Entrapta, rebuilding from the mess the robots caused, decides to put the broken piece of First Ones tech back together, hoping to find a different approach with more success.
